A possible week of jackie blue and space age love song.☺….(crossing fingers for a noon release today)
My saturday night rock band group (sometimes 15 strong) just burns incense and raises prayers to the nun and sygen gods that they never burn out…….why does tempo mapping have to be so hard lol…..
Thanks for all you do!!!!!!

This is gonna be good and bad for you. Release will probably be early evening. Sy & I have both been working pretty much full-time recently. So releases have been coming later on Saturdays, but this week’s content won’t disappoint you. It is tough but the work is worth it to see people stoked for awesome tunes. Thank you for all the support!!
Hang tight, we are going to get there just a little later in the day.
Rock on!!
June 25, 2016 at 4:35 pm #470947The Ozark Mountain Daredevils? Awesome.
It’s only a matter of time before Sy and Nun work their way through the entire Time-Life “Sounds of the 70’s” 914 song collection!

p.s. I was very much joking, but then I spent the last 15 minutes reading this link. So many great songs that I have forgotten!

And when they’re done with that they can start on what’s left from the Singers and Songwriters collection. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
June 25, 2016 at 5:45 pm #470958Its amazing not just how many times they uncover that “oh yeah, i forgot about that one” kinda song, but how often they hit the “ive been praying for years for that song”….if jackie blue pops up for instance, that will be a top 10 on the wish list….but i also felt that way about the melvins with hooch.
Its amazing how thier musical tastes match up with mine, and i thought i was the wierd one that will go from vanilla fudge to tesla to the melvins to wierd al….thanks guys…..
June 25, 2016 at 5:50 pm #470959Hey guys…..no worries about later in day releases….we are always grateful!!!!
June 26, 2016 at 2:50 am #470991Hey there, rockers! You might be thinking, “You’re not Nunchuck, you’re just some guy!”, or you might not be thinking that, I don’t know. Anyhoo, this week was nothing short of a struggle, and it really put into perspective people who work full time jobs and find time to chart songs. Both Nunchuck and myself were pretty busy this week, so much so that I’m going to be posting today’s (more like tonight, yeesh) release.
Just letting you know, I won’t be listing hints hall of fame updates, please know we haven’t forgotten about you! In fact, I think each track this week was guessed, besides my super obscure picks, but that’s my fault for not giving bonus hints.
So enough talk, let’s get to the music, eh?

Colonel contributed vocals to both Doctor My Eyes and Jackie Blue, and as always, his contributions are always appreciated here in the Funhouse!
For the songs this week, we have a great 70s three-pack, every song in it is an absolute classic and features great instrumental work, especially bass, which ended up being the most challenging instrument, in my opinion, on Doctor My Eyes and Jackie Blue.
For my picks, I chose Space Age Love Song, Winners, and I Don’t Wanna Die. Space Age Love Song has a surprisingly challenging guitar part because of the riff in the verses, and everything else on it is a piece of cake to play.
Winners is a song I was considering for the original 3-pack of Deadsy songs that we did, but it was the runner up pick. I really like the Commencement album a lot, and I think Winners might be my favorite song on it, after having charted it. It has the most prominent double bass on the album, and the vocals are a ton of fun to play.
I Don’t Wanna Die is a super obscure pick that I wanted to do, mostly to commemorate the new Drum Project that was released on FoF.net, in which it was the most difficult song and was included last in the main tiers. If you’ve played Mad Flog, which is a custom we did a while ago, that’s basically a drum solo and nothing else, I Don’t Wanna Die is Mad Flog on steroids. If you want to play an around 2 minute long drum solo, then play another song slapped on the end, then this is for you. It has one of the most challenging and long drum solos I’ve ever seen in RB, hands down. Even though drums are the highlight, there’s an amazing bass part, and guitar has two solos, as well. The choruses are pretty damn catchy, in my opinion, even if you have to wait 3 minutes or so to hear any vocals at all.
Hopefully this wasn’t too late for you guys. I’m sorry for the delay, and I don’t know how frequently this will happen in the future.

June 26, 2016 at 2:59 am #470994Awesome 70s and 80s tracks, thank you much!
I wouldn’t worry about being late. I promised nine tracks over a month ago and they’re still not done and I can guarantee I’m not nearly as busy as you two.
June 26, 2016 at 3:12 am #470995Thanks for the 70s tracks, I always find them the most fun to play along with.
June 26, 2016 at 4:30 am #470997A fine, fine pack of songs. This makes my struggles today worth it, after a memory stick decided to go flaky and constantly crash the game when trying to update the cache with new songs. I think have it behaving now…
Anyhoo, thanks again for all the great songs that have come from the Funhouse and everywhere else!
