            I JUST REALIZED

            I spelled Judas Priest with TWO SS. It’s in the process of being fixed right now.

            EDIT: DTAs have been fixed.

                    These birds fly south for the winter, as is their tradition for nearly a half-century.

                    Each borne of it’s own, some had success, others not. However, as band of six, they’ll make their presence known before the month is out….. some for the first time.

                      If you figured out my riddle above, good for you!
                      For C3thon, I have come out of my two month hiberation to bring a special release! Finally knocked some single tracks off of my WIP list and finally started digging into some of my larger packs. ENJOY!
                      Renaissance – Carpet of the Sun
                      vjmo7uemf1pdp8c6g.jpg
                      Audio Source Lineage: 1973 US Vinyl -> ION Profile LP/PreAmp -> Audacity -> Some loss
                      The first appearance of this band to the C3 database, as well as my first custom completed all by myself. From a great and underrated symphonic prog band that had its run during the 70s, this non-single cut from one of their classic records, Ashes Are Burning, sure does feel like one.
                      FM – Phasors On Stun
                      jz7hh6t7kyj33xj6g.jpg
                      Drums/Venues/Assistance: TheWay123
                      Audio Source Lineage: 1976 Analog Master -> 1978 US Vinyl -> ION Profile LP/PreAmp -> Audacity -> Click/Noise Removal -> Speed Correction
                      Opening track to the first album by the second-greatest 70s Canadian prog band, FM! (Rush fans, beware their musical prowess) An ode to science fiction, as with the rest of the album, this song is pretty big without boasting guitar chops. More to come from this album in the future after their first time in the database.
                      Lake – On the Run
                      s50lulxqrbd53ui6g.jpg
                      Audio Source Lineage: 1976 Analog Master -> 1978 US Vinyl -> ION Profile LP/PreAmp -> Audacity -> Click/Noise Removal
                      Here’s something a little more esoteric for those not well-versed in early AOR groups. The first database appearance of German-British rock group, Lake, featuring their hit single from their eponymous first album. The band soon faded into obscurity after a decade, but have rejoined since and still perform in Europe to this day.
                      Gentle Giant – Playing the Game
                      ok93zkbm162cp056g.jpg
                      OD/Playtesting/Consulting: TheWay123
                      Audio Source Lineage: 1974 Analog Master -> 1974 US Vinyl -> ION Profile LP/PreAmp -> Audacity -> Click/Noise Removal -> Detailed Click removal
                      My first Gentle Giant custom to start off many future releases from this wonderful group, who pushed pop and prog to its creative edges throughout the 70s. Probably the greatest cut off this fine prog classic, showcasing the band’s knack for melodic counterpoint. For those wondering, those “marima sounds” are actually a constructed three-stringed instrument called the “Shulberry”.
                      Yes – No Opportunity Necessary, No Experience Needed
                      3n4y7gcsrkjce616g.jpg
                      Dryvox/Venues/Fixes/Finishing Touches: AJFOne23
                      Audio Source Lineage: 1970 Analog Master -> 2003 Rhino Remaster? -> Speed Correction
                      Well here we have another non-single “hit” by Yes (the formerly rare music video seems to make it so). Played heavily by the group in their early days, this churning rocker backed by an orchestra definitely shows off the talents of Squire and the underrated Tony Kaye. (So blistering that I couldn’t chart the Keys just yet, sorry!)
                      The Who – Love, Reign O’er Me
                      4g69b6e0ae1x6v36g.jpg
                      Dryvox/Venues/Fixes/Finishing Touches: AJFOne23
                      5-Lane Keys-Reductions: Bansheeflyer
                      Audio Source Lineage: 1973 Multitrack tapes -> 1996 Remix
                      This long-awaited request was a long 9 months in gestation, but it has finally come to term and here for you to play. Featuring a brilliant piano intro, our protagonist of Quadrophenia laments on The Rock near the coast to contemplate about his troubles in life and what he seeks to do about it.
                      (Some of these are dreadfully missing keys, but do not worry. They will be upgraded at some point in the future)
