Can someone run this through REAPER and tell me how much v62 of the ziggy editor has cleaned up midi-wise?

I included BOTH the compiled pro and the pro.mid files.
I now have fret positioning, doublenote off errors resolved?, and other fixes!
NOTE: There are 2 times the PRO varies from the 5 button. PG: please understand that RB3 does not support BENDS. On 5 button, many authors including Nyx chart that as a short button followed by a long next button up. Since its a BEND, I melded that to 1 long button, leaving the bend to the discretion of the player. This is the proper thing to do IMHO.
Secondly, I charted the 3 chords “countdown” that Nyx elected to leave off because you dont “hear” it in the song. But its 3 chords and gives the guitar parts a more authentic feel if you play it with an amp. It occurs in two places, just let it go please.
I think you mean run through Magma since that does all the midi checking. Is there a list of fixes/changes for this latest build? Does it finally support inputting chord name notation?
And RB3 pro g/b does notate bends, in addition to natural harmonics, pinch harmonics, bass slaps, and tap notes. But it’s pretty much useless until a new game in the series releases just like the recently discovered more advanced notation for Rocksmith.

I ran the midi through Magma. It’s still not up to RBN standards. There are too many errors to count but here they are anyways so you can clean it up.

I ran the mid through EOF. It was able to automatically fix a large majority of the errors AND generate proper chord names but it created a few syntax events that Magma won’t accept. But that’s extremely easy to fix in REAPER.
After deleting the syntax events, Magma showed me that you’re missing notes for some of the lower difficulties during overdrive phrases. That’s a big no-no in authoring standards.
You should try out the mid in RB3 to make sure EOF didn’t mess up note placement. Download
If the midi is okay in-game then I STRONGLY recommend always running your midi files from Ziggy’s pro editor through EOF to bring your charts up to standards.

Spent some time looking at this. There are only 3 unique errors.
1. The “root note not set for gem” which EOF seems to automatically correct and I’ll report to Ziggy as still open.
2. The missing overdrive notes (easy real guitar) are because there are no notes in the 5 button easy for that overdrive either. Although despite the quantity, I only see one occurrence in the 5 button easy and the same in pro easy.
3. From what I see of your EoF output, the only remaining mystery error is this one:

If the notes on easy 5-button guitar were also missing then Magma would have given another error so that is clearly untrue. I’m working off the midi file from the CON file in the database so it should be the most up-to-date version. As the text from Magma says, there is only one overdrive phrase in PART REAL_GUITAR missing notes on easy difficulty and three on PART REAL_BASS.

Events created by EOF. That’s error #3. It could be that EOF outputted some info meant for RS that RB3 can’t handle. So I deleted those events. The only way I could see them was by opening the midi in REAPER and view it as an ‘event list’ instead of by ‘named notes’.
I am laser focused on #1 then to move forward. Updated project on ziggy code site with notes on this (as did raynebc),
V63 seems to clean up 2 of the 3 issues, but not “gem”. Ziggy is working on v64, which is going to borrow liberally from the EOF function that sets the root note.
Looks like running the .MID through EOF fixes the root note issue, so I am doing that now. I’ll start rebuilding all the pros soon.
These PRO files are all tied to in-game content and not customs.
If I make some pro customs, can I send you the files for them and like edit them or whatever since I’m still a beginner at this? And also if a song has no bass upgrade, can I make 1 and add it on to the upgrade file?
