The rock band 3 disc just broke on me. I think it moved around in the xbox and now has a ring around the surface. I’ve been looking for another disc, but I was wondering if jtag would help so I can just use the digital version I got ages ago? And if it’s possible to run custom dlc on the digital version, where do I begin?
You can’t use the games on demand version. If you have JTAG, you can probably find an alternative to a new disc.
Copy the customs in the Marketplace folder, as simple as that. But since I have no JTAG I can’t assist you any more than telling you what I read about it.
I’ll give that a shot and tell ya how it goes. I assume I have to use the CON to LIVE conversion tool in CONTools
I just want to say yo have my sympathy. My original RB3 disc cracked, and I bit the bullet and paid full price for another retail copy… about a week before the retail price dropped to $20. Since then that second disc has also cracked, but fortunately the crack didn’t hit the data area of the disc, and hopefully won’t. They just don’t make those discs very durably anymore.
It reminds me of when I first got rocksmith.. first day I got it, the disc died the same way. I am cursed ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” />
I think it’s the disc holding button in the game case that does the damage.
