Just dropping in to thank you for the 825th time for gracing my library with so many Sheepdogs songs… I have such a joyous experience every time I queue them up. I just did Downtown for the first time while voxtaring and got 94% on guitar and 98% on vocals, so you clearly did something right. From the bottom of my musical heart, friend, I thank you.

P.S. I also played Infinitesimal and it was fantastic as well

After a nice long summer break, I’m back with more regularly released content. Everything will be released as part of the C3X World Tour event.

          C3G: Generations

          Prophets of Rage “Smashit”

Greta Van Fleet “A Change Is Gonna Come”

          Limblifter “Dopamine”

The Age of Electric “I Don’t Mind”

          LCD Soundsystem “Oh Baby”

          Notes:

“I Don’t Mind” is one of those songs that I really enjoyed listening to when it came out, recently reconnected with and had a great time turning into a Rock Band custom. I still have plans to do more LCD in the future.

C3X World Tour: Week One Kickoff

          Tom Petty “Breakdown”

          Bob Seger “Ramblin Gamblin Man”
          CCR “The Midnight Special”

          Notes:

“Breakdown” was planned to be part of a larger “Studio Version” pack for Tom Petty, but decided that releasing them one at a time, as they are ready, is a better way to go. In “Midnight Special” Fogerty uses ALL the tuning cents, as usual. The guitars are tuned to a “Texas E” I think, perhaps the largest of all of the E notes.

          Back soon with more stuff.

This was one of those songs I knew I’d get around to doing one day. Can’t say there’s any more Liz Phair coming, this was the only song of hers that I am familiar with. Perhaps some Juliana Hatfield.

                Enjoy.

Added: Sheepdogs, Barenaked Ladies, Rheostatics, Ponctuation, Trews, Hayden, Inbreds and Matt Mays

Huge thanks to Yaniv297, Kamotch, egead, MrBurpler, GreenPanda12 and NWS1-6 for contributing their favourite Canadian songs! As well as all the authors who helped on the individual songs.

Thanks to TheWay and TheSheepQueen for their help, they are both outstanding community members who always help everyone out.

Well this was the first “headliner” gig for me in C3X, and happened to fall exactly on the same day as my 44th birthday. It’s kind of like a small “Canada 150” reunion of sorts, since all the artists were obviously from North of the border. I’ve already started planning another one, these are lots of fun to do. I think the Sheepdogs is probably my favourite one to play.

                  Enjoy the show.

With today’s new C3X songs I’ve taken the liberty to update all eight of The Tragically Hip songs that I released under the Canada 150 project in 2017. All of the instrument charts were checked, new keys and pro-keys charts were added to the songs that lacked them, occasionally I had to strip them of their tempo maps.

I’ve completely recharted Micicle’s “Hundredth Meridian” guitar chart but I will still credit him as an original author, the new chart is sort of based on their old one, but not really. Two of the songs had drums by Crazy Canuck, and both of those had minor modifications made to correct minor issues and to make them perhaps a bit more fun to play.

The other four songs that were released (C3thon and 2018 Canada Day) do not require any updates or fixes to my knowledge, I’m quite happy with those.

I’m going to continue to update most of my earlier charts, seems like that is way overdue. I also have a ton of unreleased material yet to be posted, hopefully soon!

I hope you all enjoy The Tragically Hip update.

Rest in peace, Gord. Miss ya.

I can’t tell you how great it is having Rock Band: The Hip. I’m really loving the updated guitar charts and they feel like official releases. Thanks for doing the work putting these together with all the other contributors.

I agree, its pretty awesome to be playing through the ‘tour’ mode, being told to pick a custom setlist of five rock songs, and then being able to pick a full Tragically Hip setlist. Thanks for the support
