I haven’t touched them in a while, they’re about half way there. I am hoping to collaborate with another author, but we’re gonna do some other songs first. Can’t say exactly what it is just yet. They’ll get finished eventually. They’re playing near me in January, but sold out pretty fast as usual

- You’ll see a new release from me on New Years Day.
- I’m going to overhaul my main customs thread, its a bit trickier to manage now with so many songs posted.
- Have something brand new planned for Spindoctor and I for the new year. Showdown will return for Season 2 later in 2018.
- Lots of Winter 2018 Collaborations!! working on projects with Farottone, BansheeFlyer, mrcoupdetat, MrBurpler, AJFOne23, Kemiroch and Atruejedi

Wanted to give you thanks for all of the great tunes you have given us. I heard a Tom Petty song that I hadn’t listened to in a while and thought Prez would like this, titled “Same Old You”. Any plans in the future for this track?

I mentioned this elsewhere but I am planning a ‘studio cuts’ Tom Petty pack which can replace some/most of those live HMX tracks. I will probably start working on these once we finish our run of 70’s stuff, maybe we’ll try to work one into the 70s. Either way I appreciate the suggestion, its a good one.

I had forgotten you said you were doing a lot of the studio versions of Petty’s songs. That will be a very welcomed addition. Thanks again.

Also as you probably know I am working on a ton of 70’s content (it’s just about ready!) and only one or two of those is actually listed here. So if you are reading this and working on 70’s material, I’ll be happy to share what I have with you.
Above and beyond, even when announcing WIPs… you disgust me.

Added a few to the list. Not sure if David Bowie will make it into the 70’s Showdown finale, they are surprisingly complicated songs, but perhaps one of them can be finished.
Changing gears a bit – back to 1969 – Bob Seger’s first album. I think the keys will be pretty fun on this one. Fun to chart I mean, probably not that fun to play. It’s very difficult to find his early stuff for purchase online, I’ve been looking for a recent remaster of this song. Not sure it exists. Anyways this version is the original but it sounds pretty rough by today’s standards. I might have to crack open an audacity tutorial or two.
