November 15, 2016 at 1:53 pm #477754Also, whenever the long awaited C3 forum member convention takes place, and “We are the World” inevitably gets played, I call dibs on the Bruce Springsteen part. November 15, 2016 at 2:39 pm #477755Yay! Someone else besides me is doing Christmas songs! Thanks! November 15, 2016 at 4:18 pm #477759awesome – love the Christmas tunes – thanks a ton ! November 15, 2016 at 6:16 pm #477762Are the lack of guitars in WATW and DTKIC because you left them out, or because there aren’t any in the songs? November 15, 2016 at 7:33 pm #477765Are the lack of guitars in WATW and DTKIC because you left them out, or because there aren’t any in the songs? As far as I can tell—and I could be wrong about this—there are no guitars in either song. The Canadian song features guitar, but it’s buried in the mix. November 15, 2016 at 7:37 pm #477766Whoa, Mrcoupdetat…these are some very heavy releases! Can’t wait to check them out. These have been on a lot of requests lists for a long time. Thanks much for putting in the work on them. Not a problem. I gotta say though—“We Are The World” was a pain in the ass to chart. I did a version that featured a much more thorough take on the vocals, but when I tested it out, the visuals up on the screen were a total mess. The final version is much more streamlined, which is why I added that note in the database about how none of these songs have true harmony parts. November 15, 2016 at 9:14 pm #477770Thanks for Band Aid, pleased to see it come at last… November 16, 2016 at 10:01 pm #477809Great song choices, some of those sound like they must have been very challenging. You mentioned you sometimes have troubles with vocals, so let me just put it out there that if you ever need help (especially harmonies) I would love to. I actually find vocals to be the easiest chart to tackle, then drums, bass and finally guitar is my nemesis. Thanks again! Keeping the content Canadian since 2017! I actually find vocals to be the easiest chart to tackle, then drums, bass and finally guitar is my nemesis. Thanks again! I might take you up on your offer some day. I’m getting better at vocals, but harmonies—unless they’re really simple—trip me up because I just don’t have a good enough ear to pick out the proper notes. That’s why I didn’t do proper harmonies for all three of these songs—I just knew I wouldn’t be able to do them justice. Thanks much Mrcoupdetat for contributing “Come Together”! This needs upvotes. You better! You bet that I’m looking forward to playing this one. November 22, 2016 at 6:39 pm #477965Thanks for the kind words, everyone! You can expect to see a few more classic tracks from the 70s posted here in the next month or so.
