mrcoupdetatParticipantI don’t know how popular this will be among some of the younger folks here, but here’s some Steely Dan to satisfy all your yacht rock needs…

SideshowParticipantSteely Dan is an exceptional artist to pick. I still feel that “Do It Again” is one of my favorite guitar hero songs to play on guitar. Thanks for bringing more Dan to the game.

Funk Meister FreudMemberMmmm,Mmmm,Mmmm…
I can’t wait to sink my teeth into this one! Thanks for such an excellent cut of Steely Dan. It’s very much appreciated, mrcoupdetat. Good gawd, grabbing this just made me realize that ‘Peg’ and ‘Josie’ aren’t in the database. How can this be?!?

Me and Housequake would agree.. That is THE VERY REASON she got into playing GH/RB games with me.

drummerockbandMemberAja is a great album, so anything from that album is pretty welcome in my books. Thanks!

I’ll definitely be doing more, but not right away. This was easily the most grueling custom I’ve done so far. The musicianship is just off the charts. The drums were the only part of this song that was relatively straight-forward.

Or Deacon Blues. And then there’s the dozens of songs from other albums that should be on here: Any Major Dude, Barrytown (a personal favorite), King of the World, Brooklyn, Green Earrings, Doctor Wu, etc.

You’re welcome! I’m loving your Weird Al customs by the way. The polka medleys are exceptionally well done.

mrcoupdetatParticipantBy the way, does anyone know why certain songs for PS3 users get the “failed to load” message? Unfortunately, “Rikki Don’t Lose That Number” (and probably 10-20 other songs I’ve downloaded) won’t play on my system. I’ve noticed that older files tend to do it more than newer files, which suggests that it might have something to do with the version of Reaper/Magma it was created on.

mrcoupdetatParticipantFor those of you who want to play the original version of “For Those About to Rock (We Salute You)” on Rock Band…
…I salute you.

Funk Meister FreudMemberSalutes right back at’cha for putting this out. Even though I had bought the RB AC/DC LIVE track pack, like you, I felt the studio version of ‘For Those About to Rock’ was a much more desirable version to have. Much more ‘cajones’ in the studio cut. No if’s, and’s or but’s about it!
Thank You!

mrcoupdetatParticipantAJFOne23 and I have collaborated on another Sabbath track—“Hand of Doom”

And in case you missed it the first time around, we also collaborated on “Symptom of the Universe”:

More Sabbath’s on the way too!

MrPrezidentModeratorHey there! You mentioned that my custom ‘Ween – Freedom of ’76’ wouldn’t load and I can see that earlier in this thread you had the same question about some other songs.
I compiled that song with Reaper 4.22, Magma 3.32. That song had a midi source but I did not paste that file into the Reaper project, instead I just copied the midi notes from one project tab to the other – I’ve had really poor results with midi files and Magma but I’m sure this is due to my own ignorance. The file was parsed with pretty much all of the CAT options available.
Anything I can do to help please let me know.

mrcoupdetatParticipantYou’re welcome, doctor! I find vocals challenging, so if you see any glaring errors, let me know.

Funk Meister FreudMemberYes…. I’ll be enjoying these as well! Great batch of songs there, my good man.
And yet another Christmas selection for the holidays! Thank you, thank you!

Can’t wait to check them out. These have been on a lot of requests lists for a long time. Thanks much for putting in the work on them.
