Mono or Stereo for song audio/audio backing track?

    Which is preferred, mono or stereo version?

    Stereo for backing track; that is, the one that plays for the song. For VOCAL backing tracks, they must be mono.

    Stereo is my preference.

    Outside of the game, I tend to prefer mono when listening to songs from the ’60s, usually because that was the band’s intended mix, and the stereo mix was left to some bored audio engineer who decided he’d show off how cool this new-fangled stereo thing was by panning things hard left and hard right without any rhyme or reason. But even for those kinds of songs I prefer stereo in Rock Band, to keep the audio spread out and give a greater sense of “being there”.

    I agree. I’m authoring a 60s song now and i’ll keep the audio stereo (☞゚ヮ゚)☞
