Now THAT’S the response I expected! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />
I imagine it would be helpful with the more obscure artists to include a YT video link/embed?
Indeed!
Thx for posting.
December 8, 2015 at 8:35 pm #460503Just in case, the tracks will be released on 2081?
Yes, these are preview versions for the long-awaited album! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” /> ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />
(Actual explanation: “Also note that all of my singalong tracks have a release date 100 years in the future for easy sorting.” Or filtering, I suppose I should have said: easy to eliminate them from the list if people are playing instruments.)
December 8, 2015 at 9:27 pm #460511I would be eternally grateful if someone could chart these songs for full band (specifically, bass) in the future. I’ve never charted before or else I’d volunteer to do it. Japan is one of the most underrated bands to come out of the 80s, and surely the best art-rock band of all-time. For you progheads out there, Japan’s lead singer David Sylvain released two fantastic albums with King Crimson guitarist Robert Fripp in the 90s, that are definitely worth checking out.
December 8, 2015 at 10:48 pm #460518Sylvian. Because Sylvain is quite different.
December 9, 2015 at 1:24 am #460525Quite different, yes, though apparently Sylvian named himself after Sylvain!
I dunno if RB charting can even come close to doing Mick Karn’s fretless bass any justice. All those slides!
(Also for progheads, Richard Barbieri is now with Porcupine Tree.)
December 9, 2015 at 9:56 pm #460557Ghost brings me back to my DDR days. Its nice to know where the song originated from though, finally going to check out all your vox only customs MFX thank your for sharing.
December 10, 2015 at 5:21 pm #460580Mind blown. An electronic cover in DDR? Never knew!
January 28, 2016 at 4:58 pm #462684SINGLE: David Bowie – “Absolute Beginners”
Oh, Bowie, how we miss you already…
This was essentially the “title track” from the 1986 rock musical film, featuring the man himself among the cast. Loverly tune.
Audio edits: Shortened the intro slightly, eliminated the single’s fade-out by splicing in the ending of the full-length version.

January 28, 2016 at 6:06 pm #462690Your tracks definitely need full band, especially Absolute Beginners. May I have the Reaper file to chart the instruments, please?

Sure thing! Message incoming…
January 29, 2016 at 1:45 am #462718The amount of Bowie coming out is outstanding. We might see “Changes” soon.
January 29, 2016 at 7:19 am #462726Thank you for Absolute beginners! I also love that it could become full band.

I certainly hope we do. Not working on it but definitely eager to. Available time is another thing though.
February 17, 2016 at 11:31 pm #463694SINGLE: The Fixx – “One Thing Leads to Another”
So we’ve already released The Fixx’s “Saved by Zero”, might as well provide their biggest hit from the same album, right?
UPDATE: @Bansheeflyer has now filled out this custom to Full Band! Such a great song (and another successful collab!), and now available to all players. As such, I’m taking down links to the old singalong, and here’s a link to the release thread.
Audio edits: @Bansheeflyer spliced in a remix ending to eliminate the album version’s fade-out, and I shortened the last repeat section just a little to get it down to multiples of 4.

February 18, 2016 at 1:29 am #463698Great pick.
You will need to fixx the release date – 2083 in visualizer.
February 18, 2016 at 3:05 am #463700That’s my general practice for these singalongs:
*** Also note that all of my singalong tracks have a release date 100 years in the future for easy sorting.
You can use it to filter out my vox-only songs when you have people playing instruments: would suck to force them to sit out! Once we have Full Band versions of these, the dates are fixed.
