Hi there. I’m mazegeek999. I’ve been charting for a while now and focus on songs with fun keyboard and drum parts. Here are the songs I’ve worked on either by myself or as a collaboration.
Dream Theater Releases
If there’s one thing you should know about me in terms of charting, I chart a lot of Dream Theater. A lot. However, a lot of what I’ve done is unreleased because it’s only pro keys or just a few instruments. Perhaps I’ll release what I have anyways for now and feel free to ask to collaborate. But here’s what I’ve done.
Awake – Full Album!
NOTE: My contribution to each song was only pro keys and standard keys, unless noted. This album was a collaboration between many people.
“Scarred” – I also contributed the drum chart.
Scenes from a Memory – Full Album!
This album took approximately 350 hours to chart. I charted all the instruments, and Lowlander was nice enough to help out on some songs on vocals, as well as add the venues.
“Overture 1928”
“Strange Deja Vu”Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence
“The Glass Prison” – One of Dream Theater’s heaviest songs, there really is no dull section in this 13-minute song. Tons of fun on all instruments!
Octavarium
“Octavarium” – This song is widely regarded as Dream Theater’s most ambitious work. At 24 minutes, every instrument has its moments and is a truly fun experience on everything. This song was released alongside the whole Scenes from a Memory album. Thanks to Lowlander for adding venues to this song.
Systematic Chaos – Full Album!
The first Dream Theater album I listened to, and still remains a classic for me. Please note that Onyxite contributed the majorty of the project, while I contributed some pro keys charts and extensively reviewed the rest of the charts for the album. Also, the song “Constant Motion” is on the album but is released as official DLC, so go buy that if you haven’t already!
“In the Presence of Enemies” (Part 1, Part 2, and full song!)
“Constant Motion” (official DLC)
Billy Joel Instrumental Pack
We have a bunch of Billy Joel DLC in Rock Band; however, none of them are instrumentals. And so here we are.
“Nocturne” – A soft piano ballad. A good challenge on pro keys.
“The Mexican Connection” – This seems to be a relatively unknown Billy Joel song. Has a great chorus and fun on keys.
“Root Beer Rag” – This song, as implied in the title, is Billy Joel’s fast ragtime song. Pro keys is very difficult on this one.
My Original Songs
I write my own music! So far I have one of my songs charted for Rock Band, but I plan to do more in the future. To listen to my songs, click here.
“The Journey” – This is a prog rock song that I consider to be somewhat of a ballad with an extensive build up. Very fun for keyboardists.
Singles
“Tarkus” by Emerson, Lake & Palmer
I did this song with the help of Alternity, who tempo mapped this 20-minute beast, as well as made the first rough pro keys chart. He may also make a pro bass chart in the future for those who are interested.
“Electric Power Water Notes” by Kaipa
This 18-minute song never gets boring on drums, even during the slower parts. Guitar has tricky HOPO chords, and keys has a lot of fun solos. This is the same band who made “In the Wake of Evolution” on RBN.
by Fred Rogers – That’s right, a novelty theme song coming to you right here. Keys are absolutely crazy on this song. Due to the theme song being improvised every episode, I had to choose which episode to chart. I chose this one.
Work in Progress Charts
The rest of this post shows the many, many charts that I have started but not yet completed. All of these songs listed are literally years worth of work. I certainly hope that one day every one of these songs will be released, whether that be by me charting a song or you guys helping me out. Many of the songs have all of the instruments except vocals, which is really the one instrument I’m not fond of charting. So, if you can chart vocals and want to help out, please let me know! I may release early versions of some of these songs in the future for those who want to play them.
Dream Theater WIP
Note – I know that some of these songs have already been charted by others. I’m just listing what I have done here. Some versions of the Dream Theater songs unfortunately have odd tempo maps/rhythmic differences between my charts and others.
Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence
“Blind Faith” – Guitar and pro keys done.
“The Great Debate” – Pro keys done.
“Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence” – A lot of the pro keys and drums are done. For this 42-minute song, I’m first charting the individual parts, then combining into the one song when each part is finalized and completed.
Train of Thought
“Endless Sacrifice” – Pro keys done, drum chart already exists by Grinnz.
“Stream of Consciousness” – Pro keys done, drum chart already exists by Grinnz.
Octavarium
“The Root of All Evil” – Everything done except vocals.
Systematic Chaos
“In the Presence of Enemies” – Pro keys done. Currently in collaboration with Onyxite, may be released not too far from now.
“Constant Motion” – Yes, this song is already DLC, but I did add pro keys! Still need to do regular keys.
“The Ministry of Lost Souls” – Pro keys done. Currently in collaboration with Onyxite, may be released not too far from now.
Check out Onyxite’s thread for this album. He’s charted a bunch of stuff on the album, and I will be helping with various charts as well.
Black Clouds and Silver Linings
“A Nightmare to Remember” – Pro keys done, drum chart already exists by Grinnz.
“The Count of Tuscany” – Pro keys done.
Expect this whole album to eventually be charted with multitracks.
Andromeda WIP
All of these songs so far are a work in progress. The Andromeda project was a “secret” project between me and CyclopsDragon, who really has a fantastic ear for stuff like this. Unfortunately we really only got about halfway through. I hope to at least finish some of these songs and eventually release all of the 23 songs we had planned.
Extension of the Wish
“In the Deepest of Waters” – Guitar and drums done.
“Eclipse” – Yet to start.
II = I – Full Album!
“Encyclopedia” – Everything done except vocals.
“Mirages” – Bass and vocals left.
“Reaching Deep Within” – Yet to start.
“Two Is One” – Drums done.
“Morphing into Nothing” – Everything done except bass.
“Castaway” – Standard keys and vocals left.
“Parasite” – Everything is charted, just needs to be revised.
“One in My Head” – Everything done except vocals.
“This Fragile Surface” – Everything done except vocals.
Chimera
“Periscope” – Needs vocals, and tempo map should be revised.
“Inner Circle” – All done, though pro keys needs revision.
“The Cage of Me” – Yet to start.
“Going Under” – Yet to start.
The Immunity Zone – Full Album!
“Recognizing Fate” – Drums done, pro keys in progress.
“Slaves of the Plethora Season” – Bass and vocals left.
“Ghosts on Retinas” – Yet to start.
“Censoring Truth” – Bass and vocals left.
“Worst Enemy” – Everything done except vocals.
“My Star” – Already released in RBN.
“Another Step” – Already released in RBN.
“Shadow of a Lucent Moon” – Drums done, pro keys in progress.
“Veil of Illumination” – Already released in RBN.
Manifest Tyranny
“Preemptive Strike” – Guitar and drums done.
“Antidote” – Yet to start.
“Arch Angel” – Yet to start.
Other WIP Singles
“Our Silent Ballroom Band” by Kaipa
Did you play my custom, “Electric Power Water Notes?” Well this next song is even longer, though perhaps a bit easier. Really an amazing song that I should have already finished but never got around to it. Everything is done except vocals.
“Voodoo Chile” by The Jimi Hendrix Experience
This is not the version released as official DLC. This is a 15-minute jam that features plenty of crazy organ, guitar, and drumming. Every instrument is a lot of fun. Drums will most likely be the hardest drum chart across all official DLC, RBN, and C3 customs when it is released due to its absolutely crazy solo. Everything is done except bass and vocals.
“All of the Above” by Transatlantic
I really love this song. At 30 minutes it definitely may seem too long, but in my opinion it stays interesting throughout. So far I’ve charted drums (same drummer as Dream Theater), though when I chart keys it will be incredibly fun as well.
“L’Via L’Viaquez” by The Mars Volta.
Sweet prog song that goes back and forth between Spanish and English lyrics. Features a drum solo and some back-to-back piano/guitar jamming. Note that this is the FULL song, though other versions on the database are cut-down versions.
I hope you guys enjoy my charts. If you would like to help with WIP songs in any way, don’t hesitate to ask!
November 19, 2015 at 7:27 am #459508removed my inferior drums only version from the D-base. I bow to you for this contribution. I hope their is more ELP to come ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
November 19, 2015 at 8:44 am #459511Should be noted that all the tracks from Black Clouds and Silver Linings are already uploaded to the database, all of which have at least all the standard instruments charted (except Harmonies in some cases).

dont forget visualizers
November 19, 2015 at 9:59 pm #459539All I’m saying is, if “Arch Angel” (the re-recorded one with the better singer) from Andromeda somehow got done, that would be the best thing ever.
Actually, Awake is the best thing ever and that’s already done, so what am I even posting for?
(thanks for this insane amount of work!)

November 19, 2015 at 10:55 pm #459543Awake – Full Album!
I’m a bit territorial when it comes to early Dream Theater and when mazegeek volunteered to do parts of the songs I didn’t even think about it one second. THAT is how good he is, that album has just amazing pro keys work and anything he touched was gorgeus.
November 20, 2015 at 5:11 am #459559Oh, all that awesomeness in a single place. Continue the nice job maze, may it be either FCing impossible songs to fc or charting amazing prog.
Looking forward to see more of that stuff ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
