Thanks for this additions Mang0, some pretty cool and party friendly songs. Just last night I had a blast playing with my 6 year old daughter the Cheerleader and Rude songs…

April 29, 2016 at 1:17 am #467837I just wanted to say thanks for your contribution. You and I have very similar music tastes it seems, as you keep pushing out songs that I really enjoy Taking Cotton Eye Joe to the pub tonight!
April 29, 2016 at 1:27 am #467839So I completly forgot that Cotton Eye Joe was going to be a collab with Farottone, hence why he’s trying to wash it out in blood haha. Guitar is a mix of violin, banjo and electric guitar. Instead of having just a string part (which I can barely hear when the song picks up) I thought it would be more fun if I mash all those instruments together, which I believe works. It’s like The takedown by Yellowcard, which has vioilin and guitar charted on guitar

I’m actually curious what your guys policy on bringing customs is? I wouldn’t say party, but the sessions I’m hosting are getting bigger.
At the moment my rule is just shout out if you want anything and I’ll check later if I remember or send me a link to the song on C3, that being said I don’t think I’d turn anyone away if they brought a flash drive with songs.
April 29, 2016 at 1:28 pm #467859Well, it’s not “my” policy. The guy running the event has been doing so since 2008. Around 2012 I heard about it, started going, and a couple of months in I opened his eyes to the world of customs. He started by letting me bring some customs. That was mid 2012. Sometime in 2013 I just straight up took over his Xbox, bringing it home, maxing it out to 2950 songs between official dlc he had bought and customs I was adding. And since then every month or so I would freshen up the setlist with new releases, print out new booklets, etc. I stopped around mid 2015 and hadn’t even gone back until this month, so he’s still rocking those old customs. I gotta do a major overhaul of his system with the new dashboard, new customs, etc. Since I keep him maxed out, he can’t really allow others to bring in their own customs. But we had a request system in place so if anyone wanted an official song or a custom that was released, we would get it for the next week if they asked for it. I think that’s the best way I think. When he was just straight DLC and using TU5, he would let people pick any song that was released and would buy it on his laptop and it would download to the Xbox … unfortunately we can’t do that while on TU4 of course.
April 29, 2016 at 1:44 pm #467860Nemo – that is a great setup at that bar.
One of the great little joys in life is exposing a Rock Band player to the magical world of customs…it’s like opening a door into a secret world where songs that are not/might never be are now playable thanks to this great community. I’m still continually amazed by the work that you guys have done here.
Playing Rock Band with a bunch of people…where alcoholic beverages are freely available…*that* is the proper way to play this game, IMHO.

Yeah, would probably agree with that being the best way of doing so, I guess it helps me also ensure that everything is right for the group aswell (full band, all difficulties etc), and I agree too samjjones , kinda freaked someone out today when I hosted a RB session, and while scrolling through my songlist they saw I had a bunch of Lep Zep ha. I’m very close to the song cap but I like to keep some breathing room for on the fly adjustments,

Well, should you ever decide to separate violins from guitar/banjo, I’d be happy to help with keys/pro keys.
May 22, 2016 at 11:57 am #469134Hey guys. So here’s one Ive been wanting to do for a long time, but never got round to it. It wasn’t until I put it on my WIP thread that RyanHYK sent me his work that was about 95% done. So huge thanks to him! I then wanted it to look super awesome so I contacted Gigakoops for a venue and agreed. So now it looks AMAZING! The only things I did was overdrive and reductions. All the credit goes to those. So no more waiting here it is:
Enjoy! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
May 23, 2016 at 3:27 am #469188Just played this through on bass and I gotta say this is probably the coolest venue I’ve seen for a custom.
