i only authored drums and read on the tutorial that i only need a muted wav file for the backing track correct? can i just leave all the other tracks unchecked in magma?
November 29, 2016 at 1:27 pm #478235If you don’t have stems, your backing track should be the song and all charted instruments should have silent audio, included with MagmaC3. Also, if you only charted one instrument, also include a silent crowd track, unless you like audio distortion in your right channel.
But your error is clearly not that.

by stems do you mean seperate audio tracks? the only audio file i used in reaper was the mp3 file of the song, no seperate drum audio file or guitar etc.
is this what u said to do? muted track on drum mix and crowd since i charted only drums and the actual audio on backing track.
srry i noob with this stuff
thanks for the reply tho hope somebody can help me with this error ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” />
November 29, 2016 at 2:38 pm #478239That should work. However, MagmaC3 includes some silent audio files in the audio folder. I recommend using those, because I know they always work.
The error above was about sampling rates (and perhaps, but unlikely, bit rates. Most MP3 files are 44.1 kHz, 16 bit audio files, so I expect your exported backing track, including count-in, is as well. That means you should use stereo44.wav in the audio folder in MagmaC3’s folder, wherever you extracted it to.
If problems persist, check the settings you used to render your backing track in REAPER (or other DAW software, but there’s little reason to do so). You can also use MediaInfo to inspect your files as they are now.

November 29, 2016 at 8:23 pm #478254Magma is such a piece of shit software.
I hate it.
And I’m not being cute because I spent all those hours on it. I really grew to hate it by the end of it.
December 11, 2016 at 4:03 pm #478674im getting another magma error when trying to build my song
ERROR: MIDI Compiler: (BEAT): BEAT track stops at [94:1:000] before end event at [142:2:000]
why does my beat track stop there?
December 11, 2016 at 4:10 pm #478676Have you properly filled in with notes up to the end event?
December 11, 2016 at 4:34 pm #478677Have you properly filled in with notes up to the end event?
u talking about the notes for my drum track or the notes on the BEATS track? i have charted my entire song for drum track but the notes on beat stopped at 94.1. am i supposed to fill in the rest of the notes for BEATS myself?
December 11, 2016 at 4:39 pm #478678You need to take a look at the tutorials and the documentation because these are some very basic questions, the BEAT track is not only essential learning but it’s also automatically filled with CAT, so it shouldn’t really go wrong.
December 11, 2016 at 4:56 pm #478679so if my song doesnt start at exactly 3.1 it wont work properly?
December 11, 2016 at 4:58 pm #478680What part of this:
