Add checkbox option: delete old .rba before building. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif”>
June 10, 2013 at 4:57 am #401020added checkbox to delete old rba file before building, will be set by default. as with all other options, they are persistent, so you don’t have to enable or disable it every time you run Magma, it’ll remember your choices.
I also modified the code to be double sure that it won’t proceed to converting RBA to CON/LIVE unless it compiles the RBA successfully.
Fixed typo in the Tuning Cents Offset help pop up.
We are now live and sharing with the public. Thanks to all the contributing authors who got early access and provided great feedback. Now let’s make sure everyone in the customs community is aware that this software exists and that they are welcome to make their experience in creating customs a more pleasant one.

June 10, 2013 at 5:06 am #401021Very nice. Looking forward to its needed use.
June 10, 2013 at 5:56 am #401022We are living in exciting times!
I’m getting a “500 (Internal Server) Error” on the download link
June 10, 2013 at 10:43 am #401028I am getting a bit pissed off with the server. The download works fine for me but not for some of you?!
EDIT: it seems it works for some and not for others, even among us at C3. it definitely works for me.
I changed the link in the OP to be direct link rather than served through our script. try that now.
June 10, 2013 at 11:42 am #401035Thanks for the links. I was able to compile a 2nd draft of my song with it.
Amazing, pro guitar with out the second file structure. No more generating separate pro files!
I have a six string rhythm guitar charted on a bass track. is that going to conflict with your pro bass 4 string tuning fields?
This might just be me, but I would like to have a song ID ‘preview’ in the game data tab. Not to be able to edit it, (that can stay in the header menu) Just to have it displayed.
And to also turn off the requirement to have certain tracks? ie the button guitar/bass

Not to be able to edit it, (that can stay in the header menu) Just to have it displayed. If you click the Options menu a second time after you’ve set the song ID, it does show what you’ve set it to in that menu, IE Using custom song ID “Stairway2Heaven” etc.
June 10, 2013 at 12:19 pm #401040I’m pretty happy about pro guitar/bass integration. It’ll make things so much easier now instead of going through multiple programs.

I dont believe magmacompiler is set up to accept that. Try it. If it is the song will compile fine but be missing the tuning for the last 2 strings in the songs.dta file. In that case I can add the fields to Magma.

Certainly can be added in next version.

Not going to happen. This tool is intended to make the creation of full band customs less cumbersome. Not to enable lazy charting. This is not intended to be a pro upgrade creation tool so any song with pro has to have legacy.
June 10, 2013 at 6:37 pm #401069Deleted original Magma, installed again from sticky.
Downloaded Magma C3, clicked on Magma C3.
Says it cannot run because magmacore.dll is missing.
where did I go wrong? What are the recommended file paths?

You need to extract MagmaC3 into your Magma installation directory. That’s where it gets its essentials from.
June 10, 2013 at 7:12 pm #401074you need to extract the files to the folder where Magma is installed. that folder contains magmacore.dll. if magmacore.dll is not in that folder youre extracting to the wrong place. the original magma needs it as well so it’s just a matter of putting these files in the right folder.
June 12, 2013 at 12:17 am #401156This is FANTASTIC!!! I can’t express how thankful I am for all the hard work it must have taken to make this possible.
THANKS TO ALL OF YOU AT C3!!!! THIS IS SOOOOOOOOOO COOL!!!

************** JIT Debugging **************
To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this
application or computer (machine.config) must have the
jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section.
The application must also be compiled with debugging
enabled.
For example:
When JIT debugging is enabled, any unhandled exception
will be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer
rather than be handled by this dialog box.
I’m running windows 64.
I wrote over files in the magma2 install folder with the c3 rar extracted files.
any ideas?
Thanks to all of you very much.
