I’m pretty sure its telling you that bass chord doesn’t end in the same place. Just like 5 lane pro chords must end at the exact spot.
September 28, 2013 at 2:55 am #406929There must be something I’m not understanding because I’ve Quantize all notes ends to 1/16 and I don’t see any chords with jaggy ends.
Also, when the compiler gives the measure location of 5:4:240 What does the 240 mean? Because REAPER goes to 5:4:99 then after that is 5:5:00
I know you don’t do much with pro guitars, however if you want to take a look. Thanks for your help. Here is the RPP ogg and rbproj files.
September 28, 2013 at 3:02 am #406931I’ll take a look, but just FYI:
Also, when the compiler gives the measure location of 5:4:240 What does the 240 mean? Because REAPER goes to 5:4:99 then after that is 5:5:00
REAPER goes down to much more than just 99, it can do down to smaller numbers, so 5.4.240 is really 5.4.24 but you got to zoom in.
EDIT: and here’s your problem. MagmaCompiler is pretty accurate. You just have to zoom in really close to see your problem.
September 28, 2013 at 3:24 am #406932You’re right, there it is. Here I was re-working all 6 guitar and bass tracks trying to get them to end at 2.4.240 lol Thanks again
September 29, 2013 at 9:47 pm #406998Here’s a teaser of Magma v2.0 that’s in the works. This will either excite you or scare you (or both if you’re kinky).
Speculate away.
September 29, 2013 at 10:00 pm #406999Any chance of including a skin for the current look with that? I much prefer the darker and smoother look we currently have
September 29, 2013 at 10:01 pm #407000Is this new look optional? ‘ll take it if it isn’t, but I do sort of prefer the previous design. That said, the checkbook thing looks interesting, I’m curious as to what that is.
September 30, 2013 at 1:41 am #407015Minor minor bug: tooltip text for “MUTE VOLUME VOCALS” is “Check to enable the use of tuning cents. Click on the question mark for how to use” (just copied from one of the other fields, I reckon).
September 30, 2013 at 7:46 am #407021Yup its actually a result of copy/pasting the controls. I’ll make sure to fix all of those in next update.
October 1, 2013 at 1:01 pm #407100October 1, 2013 at 7:48 pm #407118Awesome, thanks!
October 2, 2013 at 8:15 am #407150And here’s the next and last teaser before the private beta goes online
– MIDI TESTER! – By popular request, added yet another way to simplify your life. Want to know if a MIDI you were given or found online is ready to compile without having to first set up a Magma project, track down the audio, etc? …
October 2, 2013 at 7:18 pm #407183Love the idea of MIDI tester. Just learning to author and have been looking at various midi’s. As always, you the man, Trojan (Magnum)!
October 7, 2013 at 9:51 am #407518Minor bug: It looks like the current version of Magma C3 doesn’t save the vocal_tonic_note setting properly if its 10 or above (A# or
. It saves either as 1.Thanks for all the hard work with this tool.
October 7, 2013 at 6:51 pm #407535Are you sure you’re on the latest version? That was fixed a long time ago. I just tested it in a variety of ways, it always ends up correctly. The code for it is ridiculously simple…there is no place where it can go wrong, really.
Are you sure you’re not confusing the tonic note and tonality entries in the dta? The latter will always be 0 or 1. Also, make sure you’re on 1.3.5 or if you have author access, download the latest BETA of Magma v2.
