Seems to me more like a wishlist, but I saved it in case it gets pulled. If that were to be the actual setlist, lots of customs will be coming down
July 24, 2015 at 2:19 pm #451063I almost bought it until When in Rome – The Promise. Keys heavy and no guitar, unless it’s some weird re-record.

There’s a Virgin-era Stones song on there. That’s a double-whammy of NO ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
July 24, 2015 at 3:34 pm #451075too many key-heavy songs and no imagine dragons. i don’t buy it
July 24, 2015 at 3:43 pm #451078So I wonder why you guys think that now RB4 will stay away from keys heavy songs. It didn’t stop them for all songs prior to RB3, why would it stop them now?
July 24, 2015 at 4:56 pm #451089So I wonder why you guys think that now RB4 will stay away from keys heavy songs. It didn’t stop them for all songs prior to RB3, why would it stop them now?In terms of their putting together the RB4 setlist…I think that *if* a song under consideration has a minor keys part, then fine. But they will *not* include songs that have major keys parts, because they are probably sensitive to the idea that a number of long-term customers are pissed about the lack of keys support in Rock Band 4…so HMX might not want to rub salt in the fresh wound.
I have a question: do you think HMX is currently authoring separate keys tracks (which will not be visible) for RB4 songs, or will the RB4 framework support a subsequent addition of them to existing files if they choose to support keys later? Or nobody knows yet?
July 24, 2015 at 4:59 pm #451091The answer is “nobody [here] knows yet” – but my opinion is that no, they’re not charting it. They certainly didn’t chart them for the 2015 DLC that had keys in the audio.
July 24, 2015 at 5:04 pm #451092If somebody were to post a list like this, then they would have had access to either a 1) screengrab of something, either in-game or marketing materials, or whatever, and they would have just posted the .jpg instead of typing all of that out, or 2) if this was from a file, they would have just copy/pasted the text. We’re all mostly lazy that way.
Looks bogus to me for that reasoning.
In the unlikely event this were true, it would be a very solid setlist (I’m 40 years old, for frame of reference), IMO, and include the triumphant return of the Rolling Stones and the new addition of U2 and Springsteen.
July 24, 2015 at 5:06 pm #451093Also, if you want to confirm for sure whether it’s a legit leak or just another wishlist, post it on the HMX forums. I would, but I’m banned as I’ve said more than once before.
I speak from experience in this – if you post a “guess” or a “rumor” that happens to be true, they will delete it and ban you. This happened to me with the Blitz setlist back in the day.
July 24, 2015 at 5:11 pm #451094Thanks for the reply. The second part is very telling. HMX has made a big deal about “this is the only title we’re going to release, it will be extensible, etc.”…so I was thinking that they’d want to make everything (including support for all previously supported instruments…including keys) forward compatible, but this may be a business reality.
I’m not actually looking to get myself banned from the HMX forum at this moment in time, but perhaps somebody else reading this will post the setlist and see what happens ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
July 24, 2015 at 5:29 pm #451095Update: Nick Chester from HMX tweeted that the 4chan list is…*bum* *bum* *bum…..
fake.
July 24, 2015 at 5:55 pm #451096Figured the leak was fake; it’d just have to be.
1) They have it as “U2- Bloody Sunday.” This right here gives away that this wasn’t copy/pasted from anything, and was typed out by hand, therefore wouldn’t seem as likely to be from an actual leaked document.
2) Every numbered Rock Band game has at least one song from the “Big 4” thrash metal bands; RB1 had Metallica, RB2 had Metallica AND Megadeth, and RB3 had Anthrax. Since they always seem to include one for challenge’s sake, I doubt they’d break that tradition.
3) It’s from 4chan. C’mon, folks, something from 4chan is never really likely to be true.
July 24, 2015 at 6:17 pm #451098i know it’s fake, but for the sake of the argument:
1) this doesn’t really mean anything. the leak doesn’t necessarily have to be from a document, it could’ve been someone that was playtesting
3) legitimate leaks have been posted on 4chan before (smash is a recent one), and it’s not like this anonymous leak being posted instead on gamefaqs, reddit, harmonix or twitter would give it extra credibility. if anything, 4chan’s easy anonymity makes it a better place to post leaks without giving away your identity

No dice. You’ll get the stink eye now for posting any set-list rumors, true or not.
