Just dropping in to say what a pleasant surprise it is to see that Kenny Rogers song. Very unexpected and appreciated release there. Also more Queen never hurts. Thank you, authors.

 

I thought Kenny Rogers would NEVER make Rockband twice!!

It’s a bit of a stretch to call the First Edition song a movie song, don’t you think? Does this mean you’d call “Joy to the World” a movie song because it appears in The Big Chill, or “Tiny Dancer” a movie song because it appears in Almost Famous? Seal performed “Who Wants to Live Forever” at the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert with the surviving members of Queen. Just a coincidence that both are in this pack?

Just played these on Hard guitar. Two observations:

 

1) The events are top notch. Especially the break in “A View to a Kill”.

 

2) Looks like “Who Wants To Live Forever” -is missing lipsynch animations.

 

Otherwise…lots of fun in this week.

Kiss from a Rose was originally on Seal’s second self-titled album, actually. It just wasn’t that popular until it was released on the Batman Forever soundtrack.

 

Speaking of Kiss from a Rose, am I the only one slightly disappointed that the version of the song here is the shorter single edit (presumably from the soundtrack) and not the longer album version from the self-titled? I mean the song’s great, don’t get me wrong, and everything else’s fine. I just wish it was the longer version that got used.
