Hi all,
I have been searching on this forum and other forums for solutions to this issue but have come up with nothing. When I use the Phase Shift Converter on C3 Tools, it is failing at the step where it has to separate the mogg files into component ogg. I tried using the downmix to stereo option but it is failing there as well.
Any ideas? I am unable to play these songs in it’s current state. The songs load on Phase Shift, but it freezes when you click on the songs.
Thanks!
Are you trying to convert official Rock Band DLCs?
I can’t see any other explaination.

No, I am trying to convert rbcons I found on this forum. Like I said, when I run the converter it states that it failed after trying to convert the mogg file. I’ve tried both ways – the separate and the downmix.
Which song are you trying to convert?
Could be that the cons you downloaded are encrypted (to my knowledge a lot of the official C3 ones are), which in doing so prevents users from pulling the audio out of the con. Hence, you probably can’t convert it to PS since it would require extracting the audio. If there’s not PS version available along side that con in the DB you’re S.O.L or have to ask the author to put out PS version (which might not happen).
EDIT: I did not completely understand how Magma encryption works.
No C3 CON Tools merges them to a single stereo file if they were encrypted by Magma C3. That is why I think he is tryuing to convert official DLCs.

I wasn’t aware of that. I assumed encryption was more serious.
It is serious. But I created both, so my program can decrypt files my other program encrypts. No secrets there. But it will fail with official DLC or RBN files. That’s by design. If it truly is failing with a custom file, then there’s an issue on OPs pc running the decryption routine.

Hey all,
Sorry for delayed response. I ended up figuring out my initial issue. For some reason I had to run C3 Tools in Admin mode. It was auto-failing the audio conversion because for some reason my computer didn’t want to give it permission to do so. Unfortunately, it didn’t say that, all it said was “failed”
Thank you so much for the support.
You are about to leave Rhythm Gaming World and access the external songs DB. While no song or file sold for commercially available videogames is hosted there and only fan generated content is allowed, Rhythm Gaming World has no direct control over the database and no files are hosted here. Alright, we had to made you aware of this, now you can visit the database!
