Is there a way to enable Mic without lyrics/vocals files

Noob here.
There are songs that I have that I would like to sing karaoke
But they do not have lyrics or vocal files charted forget pitching.
RB3 on PS3 at least disables the Microphone for these songs so I was wondering if there is a way to enable Mics even without these files.I have tried messing around a bit with Onyx and Magma using the blank Vocal and backing tracks provided in Magma to rebuild with silence with no luck but errors.
even tried editing DTA files to add vocal stats and the song just loads into a black screen.Any help appreciated.
