November 7, 2014 at 2:21 am #432308AnonymousNo probs, I was just explaining why the reaction. I’m sure you’re gonna love more than a few Genesis songs. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />
I kinda love every song by Genesis. I’ll most likely end up getting all 80… So ye’h… (Genesis is one of the few bands/musicians that I truly love a lot. Up there with The Aviators and The Beatles).
November 7, 2014 at 9:22 am #432321You claim you “truly love” genesis but didn’t recognize selling england by the pound as one of their albums?
November 7, 2014 at 11:32 am #432325Seriously, everybody, let it go
November 7, 2014 at 11:52 am #432327I have to give you a big THANK YOU in advance for all the hard work! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
Like everybody said it’s incredible to imagine what it took to create FB on all 80 tracks with the C3 quality in mind.
Can’t wait to play all this with my buddies…

And before you play them, you get to convert them all! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif”> Seriously, brew some coffee because this might take you a while.

LOL, yeah believe it or not but this came to my mind when I saw it were 80 songs at once.
But then again… I was excited after all! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
November 7, 2014 at 1:46 pm #432333AnonymousYou claim you “truly love” genesis but didn’t recognize selling england by the pound as one of their albums? The vocals didn’t sound like Genesis to me actually and I don’t know every album by heart… I never do. I just know the songs themselves.

It actually is curious just how Phil Collins and Peter Gabriel *sound* a like but *sing* very differently. When they sing harmonies they are actually pretty similar, but when you listen to Gabriel in early Genesis and Collins in things like Abacab, Invisible Touch, etc. they obviously have a vert different way of singing.
November 7, 2014 at 2:32 pm #432339I had no idea it was collins singing on “more fool me” until I read about it on the net. Listening to it now I can certainly hear a difference, but for me it’s kind of like technical mistakes in films or television, where you usually don’t really notice them until they’re pointed out to you. Collins really was the perfect replacement for gabriel after he left.

Collins really was the perfect replacement for gabriel after he left. That and For Absent Friends, the only 2 songs where Phil Collins took lead before Gabriel left. And yes, you have no idea how many people react just like you did. Then again, when a song is sung with some presence, you just can’t mix the 2 up. Of course, as you point out, once you know you notice, but otherwise it’s difficult. Carpet Crawlers is another good example.
I’m surprised nobody started a “guess which songs we’ll get that we don’t know of yet” thread or discussion. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif”>
November 7, 2014 at 3:05 pm #432343I don’t think my poor little flash drive will be able to handle this many songs, but i’ll do everything I can to fit all the 70’s stuff on there, especially the 2 albums. The lamb and selling england are two of my favorite albums of all time.I was thinking the same thing. Obviously Kingston contracted C3 to create this monstrosity to sell more USB drives. Congrats on your windfall C3. Bunch of sell outs. /sarcasm ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
November 7, 2014 at 4:37 pm #432376I can’t express enough how excited I am for this pack. I’ve been playing on PS3 since RB2, mostly drums and vocals. I got a cheap XBox a couple years ago that I barely used, until I discovered customs. My IONs weren’t compatible, but I could do vocals.
Last year, I replaced my PS3 IONs with a Roland TD-6 e-kit, and a couple months back I bought the XBox Midi Pro Adapter so maybe I can finally play drums on the customs.
And then this pack was announced. The band I wanted more than any other, finally comes to Rock Band. 80 SONGS!!!! That’s 4 shy of the RB3 disc release.
And I finally get sing and play drums to actual, real Genesis songs.
Looks like I’m developing a case of the flu next Friday and calling in sick.

Make it a long lasting case of the flu, that’s a ton of songs. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif”>
November 7, 2014 at 4:40 pm #432378I haven’t played Rock Band in well over a year, but I still check C3 every week. I actually just made a profile to say that not only am I glad that one of my favourite albums of all time is being brought to Rock Band, but also that I legitimately gasped at The Lamb Lies Down On Broadway.
Really cool job guys, I love it.

Probably a good idea. Half the day spent fretting about which song to play first, and then the rest of the day unable to play because I won’t be able to see the charts due to my weeping from sheer joy.
