Hi.
I just want to say that I’m well aware that there’s at least half a dozen of these threads by now – but nothing works and I’d really like to cram as many Muse and RHCP songs into RB3 as possible, since me and my friends are getting together tomorrow or saturday – and one of my friends loves these bands (and would be almost overjoyed if she could play “Uprising” by Muse). I’d like to make her happy, so please, I beg of you. Help me, even if you sigh right now.
I have tried using RBtoUSB. I have tried to simply drag-and-drop. But some songs just won’t show up on the Xbox, when trying to access USB-contents on the dashboard (yet I can open them up in, for example, the Visualizer in C3 Con Tools). Why? All other songs show up, it’s just these 18 songs I have that won’t show up. I’ve tried copying the contents to another USB. Still the exact same result, everything except these 18 songs showing up. I beg of you, help me out.
(Oh, let me at least say how extremely grateful I am for C3-collective, which I discovered just days ago. My friends and I are going to have an epic time, because of you!)

August 13, 2015 at 9:00 pm #452648What the? I had just finished doing the Harmonies-upgrade, in which I moved all songs from the USB, to another USB for storage during the upgrade-process. Once done with upgrade, I moved files back to the original USB. Now, only 114 songs are shown, instead of 150something? (I don’t think the files themselves are the problem. For example, all Beatles-files from the official TB:RB-RB3-document were present before. Now there’s just two of those songs)
There’s definitely something fishy going on here, and it either has nothing or partly to do with song ID. Also, I noticed that Uprising is now being read by the Xbox, unlike before…
Update: I have decided to try out this idea. Fill the USB with 5 songs at a time, while at it I start the Xbox. Once the transfer is complete, I simply plug the USB in to see if transfer is complete. Then I shut the Xbox down and simply repeat. About 100 songs made it safely through. However, this time, only 3 of 5 songs made it. Could it have something to do with funky USB-reading when it starts to contain so many files? I’m going to transfer everything that made it before my last attempt, thus emptying the USB of songs. Then I’m going to repeat the cycle…
Update 2: After moving all songs from USB to Xbox, I began repeating the cycle. Already then, only 2 of 5 songs made it. I’m out of ideas now. I’ll try renaming song ID’s (for songs that won’t be read by Xbox) and then try moving them to USB again.
Update 3: There seem to be only one option left, for some songs. Trial-and-error. Just keep dragging to USB and delete, until the Xbox can find them after many attempts…
August 16, 2015 at 2:47 pm #452816Are you saying songs that were previously showing up are now failing to appear?
Do they fail to appear in game AND fail to appear in the 360’s file manager thing (in the 360 dashboard)?
That is the same thing that happened to me a few weeks ago and I never figured it out, unfortunately.
What model xbox do you have?
January 9, 2016 at 12:19 pm #461789Hi, same happens to me, load game can play the game fine ,then try next day nothing there? i have xbox slim
250 hd
did you ever sort this out ?
January 10, 2016 at 9:43 pm #461856I don’t know if this is something like happened to me, but there were some songs that just disappeared, and even copying the songs again Rock Band couldn’t show them on the list… I erased the “cache file”, and when I entered again the game all the songs loaded again and it was fixed. Like I said, this is what happened to me, and it worked in my case. Hope you can resolve this issue
January 12, 2016 at 4:38 pm #461937thx sud, ive done the above that you said but every song vanished i downloaded, ive reformated on both xbox and windows but just plays once and everything gets lost shows there is nothing on drive stick ???
January 12, 2016 at 6:17 pm #461949Where are you keeping your Save Game file ? On usb thumb drive or 360 Hard Drive ?
Make sure your Cache file & Save Game file are both on the same Drive !!
This fixed the same issue for me last summer….
January 23, 2016 at 1:46 am #462423Oh, was a while since I was here, so I’ll answer questions (better late than never xD):
iammax: Yes and yes. Xbox 360 Slim.
sizmon: That, however, never happened for me. Well, after trial and error (deleting files and putting them in USB drive again) the songs would show in hd… except for some troublesome songs which all had one thing in common – not of official C3 origin…
SuD: Very interesting. I’ll keep that in mind!
Rushfan2112: Both are on hd. xD
February 2, 2016 at 7:15 pm #462931Delete the song cache.
You will not lose your scores – as long as all your songs have unique numeric song IDs
