C3 could go back and make the rar files into .con? I realize this might be a stupid question but all recent customs have been .con files if it isnt too much trouble

So far, they’ve done a lot of them already. Hosting them as CONs instead of RAR archives, I mean, as of February 15th.

I’m going to offer some free wisdom here because i’m OCD and it bugs me to see this.

Xbox 360 customs are stored in STFS packages in either CON or LIVE format. They’re not .con or .live, because that’s their format, not their extension. These are extensionless files.

So, if you want to sound cool at the next water cooler gathering, they’re CON files, not .con files <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />

It’s just the GHtoRB3 songs, and I’m working on them. It’s like this:

            1) Before C3, GHtoRB3 stored their songs in passworded RAR files.

            2) When we started up, GHtoRB3 was still an active thing, and we kept their songs in the RARs. We thought we needed to, but I did remove the passwords from them, at least.

            3) GHtoRB3 died, mostly. It turned out we had never needed the files as RAR. Whoops.

            4) I am now removing the RARs and making them into CONs whenever I find time. It takes a little while because I have to change the DB link for every song as I do it.

Although I’ve never personally had a problem un-RARing files, I appreciate your efforts as it really does make for a simpler user experience.
