That’s not entirely true. I’ve lost count of the songs that have been requested and that have already been charted or will be in the near future.

How have we gotten this far in the thread with ZERO mention of PRINCE! To me he’s at the top of the list for “songs that would be awesome to play in rock band that could never, ever get officially licensed”. Whoa, hey, sorry if I rubbed you the wrong way there. I wasn’t complaining that nobody had charted Prince yet- I realize this is entirely a volunteer endeavour and people are going to do the songs they dig. I was just surprised that nobody else in a three-page long wishlist thread on ’80s songs they would like to see had mentioned him yet, that’s all. No knock meant towards the fine folks who chart at all. Honestly some of the things they do that I never wouldn’t have even thought of requesting, like Santo & Johnny, are some of the most awesome things out there.
The ’80’s was a big decade in terms of music, too. I’m still coming up with songs that no one seems to remember, that are etched indelibly on my psyche. Odd songs from artists already in RB, some big artists that people seem to have overlooked, and a metric buttload of one-hit wonders. If I hadn’t lost all of the song rating data from my iTunes library, I’d have even more.
I hesitate to add them for fear of distracting these wonderful people from the work that they are already doing.
First off just wanted to say a big thanks to everyone making this possible. Just found out about this site and I amazed at the work that the charting guys put in.

Personally I would love to see the whole Def Leppard Hysteria album.
+1 for Hysteria, although I wouldn’t mind some later Leppard too (Let’s Get Rocked, Make Love like a Man, C’mon C’mon). But this is the ’80s thread, so yeah, Rocket, Armageddon It, and the title track.

This is probably going to be one of the ones that I work on as he is one of my favorite artists.
EDIT: I had another listen to the song today. Bass will be really interesting, there is no guitar part and keyboard will be fun to mess around with.
I may go with this as my next project with the opportunity to practice a vocal track.
