I <3 the '70's, too.

May 8, 2013 at 10:52 pm #399408I would so chart a dozen Elton John songs if authoring piano wasn’t such a frustrating and imprecise work. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” />
Uuuugh. I’m surprised there aren’t sheet music of it for sale out there, considering how famous his songs are… I guess there are some out there but it’s super iffy on how accurate it is; I’d still say it’s worth a shot at trying!

Piano is incredibly difficult to nail because of all the details and variations. And sheet music is really not useful because of repetitions, MIDI are much better in that regard.
May 8, 2013 at 11:04 pm #399410Well, for repetitions, as long as it’s in there once, it shouldn’t be hard to duplicate each time it appears again, yeah? Keep in mind I am completely talking out of my ass and don’t really know the nuances of this stuff. (I want to know, though. I would love to see an in-depth starting guide.)

Repetitions mean that the sheet music says “Repeat from here to there” because it’s the second or third chorus, without actually transcribing what’s going on. So, you get the first chorus transcribed accurately, the other simply repeated on the sheet, while the song is different. Guitar Pro files and MIDI are way better in that respect.
May 8, 2013 at 11:28 pm #399415Ah, I get it. Still, it couldn’t hurt from at least a starting off point, I suppose? But yeah. Finding a good MIDI might also be an option then, but the accuracy of that is likely to be even more questionable…
June 2, 2013 at 2:32 pm #400392I would love Tiny Dancer from Elton John.
Any Paul McCartney/Wings from the 70’s would be great as well. Oh and Supertramp!
June 2, 2013 at 2:34 pm #400393There’s a fair amount of one of those artists coming this summer. I SO love all of those.
June 4, 2013 at 10:48 pm #400535+1 to Baby’s On Fire. Aside from the cover version of Heroes and Schizoid Man on RB5, there’s just not enough completely insane Fripp soloing in RB. Also: Big Star, “O My Soul”. There’s more to power pop than Cheap Trick!
June 5, 2013 at 8:09 am #400561+1 for Big Star – O My Soul. I’d do it myself but I have too many others to do.
June 5, 2013 at 12:35 pm #400573I’d love to get the two Toto songs that HMX couldn’t use in regular Rock Band DLC due to master issues….
Hold The Line by Toto
Africa by Toto (yes I know this is an 80’s song….but I thought I would put both Toto songs here together).
Also,
Still The One – Orleans
Eagles – Take It To The Limit
Eagles – Take It Easy
Joe Walsh – Lifes Been Good
July 17, 2013 at 2:27 pm #403124Proud Mary – Tina Turner
Neil Diamond – Sweet Caroline

Yeeees! +1
July 18, 2013 at 2:10 am #403166Still The One – Orleans
Joe Walsh – Lifes Been Good
Still The One would be so fun to sing!
Life’s Been Good would be fun to play in RB as well.
July 18, 2013 at 3:09 am #403168Some Neil Diamond would be great. Not sure which song I’d pick though. Probably the one that would be best for Guitar.
July 20, 2013 at 7:41 am #403274Michael Jackson – rock with you
