I don’t use those tools, but the WAD file should be provided. It will enable you to use the required slots. Once installed you should expect an error, -1022 I believe.
Taken from the OP: If you are using the optional custom generations, you will need to install the provided WAD file with a WAD installer. Install with all defaults, expecting an error.
I installed sZGE and it started working but it seems to be picking and choosing which songs to have on there. and I keep getting a “content out of date” message.
Do I need to have a physical sZGE folder or no? because it doesn’t show up with the rest of the folders.
What the heck am I doing wrong?
November 24, 2015 at 5:23 am #459746Did you repacked your custom using sZGE generation? fixing the path in the DTA of each packs, etc.
If you only took the DLCs you made with the sZFE generation packer and just trying to make it work with the sZGE WAD it won’t work.
Not sure about the structure on real nand, but on emunand every generation has its own folder.
November 24, 2015 at 7:00 am #459747Also if you just started loading customs you should stick with the ZFE folder until you run out of slots, which won’t be for quite some time.
Alternity is right, make sure the pack’s songs DTA file isn’t showing ZFE on one song then ZGE in another. You can’t pack in the same slots for different content generations, well you can cuz the packer won’t care, but the game will make the songs inaccessible.
I only got the “can not load content “message in the main menu once and that was because I messed up the song DTA, I inserted a character by accidently hitting a key on the keyboard and it messed the whole thing up.
I would save yourself the trouble of trying to find any editing mistake in the DTA and re-download the songs to get a clean songs dta and other files. Think this is the best way since you are just starting out, or else it will be like finding a needle in a haystack.
November 24, 2015 at 5:59 pm #459767I’ve just reached 2900 songs, the game still runs fine!
How do I raise that limit, if possible? ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />
November 24, 2015 at 7:06 pm #459772Change the hexadecimal value in the cheat, but definitely proceed with caution.
November 24, 2015 at 11:17 pm #459780Hey, could someone help me fix this problem? I used to run RB3 from the official disc copy, I did all of the steps in the tutorial and I got the license error. I saw what StackOverflow said about having to run the game off an external hard drive, so today I went out and bought one and installed the game onto it with Configurable Usb Loader. Now, whenever I start the game from the hard drive in SD card mode, it says “The device inserted in the SD card slot cannot be used.”. Whenever I remove the external hard drive and insert the official game disc it works fine and I can play my official DLC, but I still get the license error for customs. Do you know how to fix this? Any help is appreciated! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
November 24, 2015 at 11:30 pm #459782Okay… I’m starting to get it. I finally got songs to load.
but some are still not showing up.
in aZFE I am starting with 052 and going all the way up to 323. Is that too many? is there a limit on aZFE? If so.. where do I go? aZGE? AE?
and if so.. do I start them with 052 or do they need different numbers from aZFE?
I am using only the songs on the customs database (and the beatles rockband)

Off the top of my head, ZFE ends around 255. Are you packing near your pack limit (40mb)? You should, that way you use up slots at a slower rate.
As for your question Stock123, a license error usually happens if you made a mistake in the song DTA. I’d go back to a point where you didn’t have that error. That is, only use packs that were previously working, reset the cache to remove the license error. If that works, re pack the more recent packs from scratch.
Also if you are running it off the hardrive, just make sure its running off the nand and not the emunand. Emunand requires you use .app and not .bin files.

Are you running the game with IOS 249 and is your IOS 249 up to date? It’s supposed to allow SD cards and USB, which would solve any instrument issues you may also have.

Changing to ISO 249 DID work! I can play official DLC now on the hard drive version, but unfortunately I still get the license error. Is there anything else I can do to fix it now that I’m not playing on the disc version?
November 25, 2015 at 4:34 am #459796That should have done it though. Can you run the syscheck homebrew app and post the report?
November 25, 2015 at 8:22 am #459806Getting the console region…Getting the system menu version…
Getting the running IOS version and revision…
Getting the console ID and the boot2 version…
Region: NTSC-U.
The system menu v513 is running under IOS58 (rev 6176).
Hollywood v0x11.
Console ID: 116671395.
Boot2 v4.
Getting number of titles… Found 113 titles.
Getting list of titles…
Found 50 IOS and 5 IOS Stubs on this console.
Initialising the FAT file system…
Sorting titles…
Getting the certificates from the NAND… Success!
Testing IOS vulnerabilities… Please wait…
And then there’s a green loading bar that fills up to about 80 percent before freezing. I’ve tried restarting the wii and booting syscheck back up and it always does this.
November 25, 2015 at 4:49 pm #459827Get a newer version of syscheck. That seems to be an issue with older versions.

Here’s what I got from Syscheck HacksDen Edition:
If you can’t read some of the text on those images feel free to tell me and I’ll type it out!
November 25, 2015 at 10:57 pm #459840Okay. Finally got all the songs on there. Thank you everyone who helped. Last question. Is there a way to mute the backing vocals (the singers singing the song)? I try to use the rb3 mute vocals by turning the slider all the way down but it does nothing for the customs
