June 12, 2015 at 12:14 am #447710Your title.tmd probably isn’t correct. Look a few posts back for when I posted a newer version of it. Otherwise it wont be able to make those app files.
tried it, now it loads 400 something songs but i just does the same, it keeps loading and loading for more songs.
June 12, 2015 at 2:39 am #447721Did you edit 0x226 through 0x262?
Is your DLC going in the 735a4750 folder in the virtual NAND? Is the 00000001.app and title.tmd file going into the same folder as your DLC?

you mean 735a4745? yes, i did all of those steps
June 12, 2015 at 5:07 pm #447790Your pictures said you were on sZGP, therefore it’s assumed you’re on the PAL version. So it would have to be the 735a4750 folder.

June 14, 2015 at 1:45 am #447942Then just use the new ticket and TMD files and do what you already did for your current setup.
June 18, 2015 at 4:20 am #448414So, I have good news! After putting in d2x in the slots to match yours, Stack, I ran Neogamma and my first song, Weird Al’s “Albuquerque”, loaded up and was playable!!
Well, sort of. The USB dongle tree doesn’t blink at all (meant for awaiting connections from relevant instruments), so this is my only method to play currently:
I got the PS2toWiimote converter from some website a long time ago, back when the Höfner’s strum bar broke, and the Rock Band 1 Strat was too “clack-y” for my taste. Played on medium, and I have to say, that’s a good guitar chart so far. The only model that didn’t move was the singer’s mouth.
But, hot damn, I finally made progress! Any help for instruments/mics being recognized would be appreciated.
June 18, 2015 at 4:37 am #448415For that issue, make sure you’re booting the game through IOS 249. If it’s anything like the Keyboard dongle that I have, you need to configure the game to boot with that IOS to get instruments and SDHC to work.
June 18, 2015 at 5:09 am #448416Currently Neogamma is set to Autodetect. I have access to the rest of my officially purchased songs on my SDHC card, currently. I can’t troubleshoot more at present time because the wife’s got the TV (likely for awhile). I haven’t checked usage without Neogamma so far, since I was so excited that I even got a track to show up and play.
Here’s my dongle tree. I’ll look at the other boot options when I get the TV back, likely tomorrow morning or afternoon:
June 18, 2015 at 2:50 pm #448445Alright, here’s the update. Rock Band 3 notices the dongles when using the “correct IOS” setting in Neogamma. However, the custom song, though listed in the library, cannot be restored to memory (this message appears in the quickplay list itself, instead of the all-purpose “Add-on Content cannot be restored to System Memory” at the title screen). When using “Autodetect” or “Default” in Neogamma, the song is playable but no dongles respond.
But now I have a bigger issue. The main disc channel wants to do a System Update, even though I’m on System 4.3. The GAF tutorial on d2x warned me that installing on d2x on IOS249 would make this occur. If I run the system update, I have a feeling that I could potentially brick my Wii.
Edit: They provided a similar warning regarding Hermes installs on IOS222 and IOS223 as well, in case I wanted to match those with yours, too.
What should I do?
June 19, 2015 at 3:51 am #448493So were the customs ever working for you? That error might suggest the song app file is too large or isn’t the correct BIN number. If you inspect your cache, it might help in determining the exact issue.
If you’re not booting from the disc, can’t the update message be skipped? I know they’re skipped for USB backups, but try to ignore it otherwise. Only boot through Neogamma.
June 19, 2015 at 6:31 pm #448547Using the Guitar Hero Guitar setup pictured, I have now played my second successful custom song, Opeth’s “Bleak” (VERY epic). And the mouth movements work just fine for that song. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” /> Still no luck with my dongle tree and customs at the same time, though.
I am currently using the official Rock Band 3 disc, but launched through Neogamma.
The d2x tutorial page said that if I ran the update the Disc Channel tries to push, it’ll just get rid of the cIOS (d2x) in slot 249 and nothing else. Since installing d2x is rather quick, I could theoretically install d2x only when I’m in the mood to play customs, and keep it off if I want to run the Disc Channel normally (to catch up on my other Wii games). My d2x install locations and their bases currently match yours. No changes to my Hermes setup yet.
Time to add some Zeppelin!
-Note to self. Do not underestimate John Paul Jones. His part is brutal in “Good Times, Bad Times”.
June 19, 2015 at 9:09 pm #448571I am now officially in business!! All I had to do was plug the USB dongle tree into the other USB port on the back of the Wii itself. All my instruments and mics respond! This is under “Autodetect” for IOS selection in Neogamma. And here is the port to use:
Feel free to add this to the main tutorial for Neogamma users, if you like.
Sorry if I can’t contain my excitement. I’ve just made so much headway this week alone that I’m going a little nuts (but in a good way). ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” /> ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
Now all I need is any of these songs before Rock Band 4’s launch and I’ll die a happy man. If this needs to be relocated to a request thread in a different subforum, I completely understand:
–“Uprising” by Muse. The harmonies just BEG to be sung. I loop this in the car at least 3 times to sing each part.
–“Ain’t No Rest for the Wicked” by Cage the Elephant. Every time it plays on the radio, I keep asking myself how cool it would be to play this track.
–“Highly Strung” by Orianthi w/ Steve Vai
–“All About Eve” by Steve Vai, from “Where the Wild Things Are”. And “Now We Run” from the same live album.
–“Revenga”, “Innervision”, “Nüguns”, a medley or singles of “Pictures”, “Highway Song” and “F*** the System”, and finally “Ego Brain” by System of a Down. Harmonies galore, and get a lot of airplay for the same reason as the aforementioned Muse track. Shoot, anything from “Steal This Album!”, really.
June 19, 2015 at 11:22 pm #448581Ah yes. I had that problem with my dongle and I had the four usb connector. Have fun customing
June 19, 2015 at 11:40 pm #448583Well, now I’ve run into a snag. I’m trying to load my 4th song (Stairway to Heaven), generating 060.bin and 061.bin, and when the game tries to download the new content, the Wii freezes. I have to do a hard power-off/power-back-on to get back to the System Menu.
Here’s the packing detail:
u8it 060_0000003c_stairwaytoheaven_wii_meta 0000003c.app -pack
u8it 061_0000003d_stairwaytoheaven_wii_song 0000003d.app -pack
wadpacker 60 203
and here’s the songs.dta path for it:
dlc/sZFE/060/content/songs/stairwaytoheaven/stairwaytoheaven
I can’t think of what I did wrong. The other songs did just fine.
Edit: Turns out the name in the .dta and the name in the meta/song didn’t match up.
That didn’t work. Drat. Hopefully I can get rid of this one and be able to play the other three without any more problems, until a solution is found. Alright, so back to just 3 successful songs.
Okay, so “Babe, I’m Gonna Leave You” from Zep worked just fine, and plays beautifully, so the issue is Stairway itself. Perhaps an update is needed?
Okay, now attempts at “Whole Lotta Love” and “We’re Not Going to Take It” have been unsuccessful. After getting WiiXplorer, I can’t find the second NAND option in the Boot Settings in order to clear the MSTORE.VFF cache.
