Getting this message when RB3 reaches the main menu on Dolphin.
Which version of the emulator are you using?
December 20, 2018 at 9:11 am #502504If you’re really all out of room, you could try to set up sZHP. I don’t think anyone ever got this working for some reason. The NTSC version of this gen works but PAL, I’m not too sure.
I was the one who got sZHP working, as I informed you on Discord, Stack, though you may not remember as it has been a while. I set it up on two different PAL Wii’s and it worked fine for me.
If I recall I ended up renaming the sZHE wad to sZHP and using a hex editor to change all instances of sZHE in the wad to sZHP, and it worked.
December 21, 2018 at 6:51 am #502516I’m looking to get custom songs set up, but I’m having trouble with the very basic first step. I downloaded and expanded the sZGE.rar folder on my Mac, but it doesn’t have any folders, let alone the “two folders with numbers in their name” mentioned in the original post. Instead, it holds 15 files, including “00000001”, “common key”, “cygcrypto-0.9.8.dII”, etc. Am I supposed to be downloading a different file? I can’t figure out what I’ve done wrong here.
December 22, 2018 at 12:30 am #502532It just means sZGE doesn’t include the example song.

It doesn’t include the sample song, but any Wii custom can go in there for you to test. You need to prepare the files that are included there first, which means getting your console ID and writing it into ng_id.txt and finding the common key and updating the placeholder file with the actual 16 byte key.

Thanks, that helped me figure a lot more out! However, custom songs aren’t showing up after deleting MSTORE, and I feel like the issue was from one of these two files. Following earlier instructions, I got the ng_id from an official DLC file, and the common-key is a 32-character string from the internet. Are these the correct entries? Should I be inputting my 16-digit console ID anywhere?
If these aren’t the issue, I’m not sure what else I could be doing wrong. I put the two resulting bin files into the sZFE folder I created, deleted MSTORE, and booted the game, where my official DLC was reloaded as expected.
December 23, 2018 at 11:58 pm #502568You can try running my incomplete RB3 Customs Manager to have it check if the files in your packing folder are correct.
You are packing for sZGE, right? Don’t put those in the sZFE folder of your SD card. Make a folder for sZGE and put them in there only.

Is there a Gen E wad unlock file? I have been trying to update my RB3 and went into the store and noticed that there were songs that had not been purchased. Upon looking around I noticed that the wads only go up to Gen D.

We do not provide illegal files, you’ll have to use google if you want to unlock that gen.

Okay thanks. Can’t really find anything on rockband anywhere.
On another topic I downloaded the uniiloader from you on page 65 but the rar file is password protected and I dont see it in the forum. Do you know what it is?
January 4, 2019 at 5:41 am #502809You mean the emunand files? If it’s what I think the password is “Rudi4President” without quotes, case sensitive.
January 4, 2019 at 4:33 pm #502816I can answer this one, at least. Neogamma will be your method of disc play for customs. I have a guide for setting this up from MUCH earlier in this topic: http://customscreators.com/index.php?/topic/14630-how-to-playing-customs-on-wii/?p=119551
Thanks a lot!!
I now managed to convert my first batch of songs to .bin files and set everything up as you described in your post! Thanks for sending me there ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” />
But I have run into the problem that Rockband 3 does not accept my SD-card it is a 32Gb SanDisk Micro SD with a SanDisk Adapter. It works fine with everything else, just when I start the game and it asks “Save add-on content on the SD Card?” it tells me that “The device insterted in the SD Card Slot cannot be used?” and that SD Card mode has not been enbaled.
Is that a known issue with certain cards or am I just unlucky and need another card?
Thanks for any suggestion and help!
Also formatted it a few times (exFat and Fat32) as I had all kind of stuff on it. So right now it’s only the apps folder. Tried it with an empty private/… folder.
And I formatted it without “Quick Format” (Found that somewhere online).
January 4, 2019 at 4:41 pm #502817Just a random thought but SD cards usually have a locking mechanism, did you make sure the card is unlocked?

Yup did that. Also formatted it a few times (exFat and Fat32) as I had all kind of stuff on it. So right now it’s only the apps folder. Tried it with an empty private/… folder.
