I don’t know who else to ask for this…
Anyway, I was just wondering what programs I could use to make multitrack.
I have no real idea on what to do but if I could just get a nice base to start out with, I could catch on.
Harmonix uses multitrack and they are amazing in quality. I’ve seen a few songs here that have multitrack as well (specifically This Boy and Rain by the beatles).
Is there an actual way to do this because I looked it up and all I found was how to remove vocals…
Hope someone could help me, again, I don’t know who else to ask besides everyone here.
If you could find or give a tutorial on how harmonix does it, that would be amazing.
Thanks again C3.
EDIT: I download Adobe Audition

The second way is just with some DJ program, but the audio will be damaged in the process
(mathematically it’s impossible a good quality for this way).
July 11, 2017 at 9:17 pm #487587OrangeHarrison is the best at this, he taught me some basics and I was able to do it for a few songs. You use Adobe Audition or similar program and do spectral separation. Depending on the song it can be somewhat easy to impossible. Unlike what ghostbyob says, if done properly, the individual stems should add up to 100% of the original audio, since it’s all substractive separation. As long as you do it right, you get 100% or closely final sound. But this is complex and nothing I can write a tutorial about. Maybe if OrangeHarrison can be persuaded…but I don’t even know that he visits these forums anymore.

Yeah its hard to ask a popular band for their multitracks… But thanks for the input

He was pretty good, looking at his beatles tracks! No need for you to write a tutorial if it is that difficult, I just thought maybe one existed. I don’t know If I should bother asking anyone anymore cause my songs are probably kind of hard to multitrack. Ill keep looking, thanks for some help ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

July 12, 2017 at 9:15 am #487631If you Google “separate audio tracks” and/or “separate (the instrument you want to separate)” you can find a lot tutorials, keep in mind that it just won’t be that good.
July 12, 2017 at 2:42 pm #487636Even if the separated audio would not be ideal for making a custom with stems, I know firsthand (well, secondhand I guess) that the separated audio is useful for charting by ear, if nothing.
Speaking of, I just got a subscription to the Adobe suite through work. I wonder if it includes this program…

Hmmm, I tried before but maybe I had misspelled words cause it works now, thanks again Farottone

Yes separated audio I think would be better. Good luck on attempting to download it with your subscription ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
