Last week I got an M9 Bayonet Doppler at a price lower than usual. I’m torn between holding it as an investment or selling it right away for some profit. I’ve never had to make this decision with something this rare before. How do you usually decide whether to wait or sell?

It’s interesting how different people approach the investment side of skins. Some treat every rare knife like a stock, constantly monitoring the market, while others only focus on how much they enjoy using it in-game. I tend to look at the general demand and how often it appears in listings over time. If it’s rare and the demand seems steady, holding can feel worthwhile. But sometimes, selling immediately for a solid profit is more satisfying, especially if you want to reinvest in another skin or just enjoy some extra cash for a while.

I faced a similar situation not long ago. I had a rare knife and was debating whether to sell it immediately or wait for the price to rise. For me, the first step is always checking recent market trends and how often that skin appears for sale. Some days it spikes unexpectedly, and other times it stays steady. I also use pages like https://dmarket.com/csgo-skins/product-card/m9-bayonet-doppler to compare past listings and see the typical price range for different phases and float levels. That helps me gauge whether holding could give a bigger return or if selling now is smarter. I usually wait if I feel confident the knife is limited and demand might grow, but if the price is already high enough, I sell for the immediate profit.
