This is my Error output from the compiler….this is a drums only track (so far) – I don’t know what all these ‘Double note-off ##’ errors and ‘Chord Gems don’t end simultaneously’ means…the drums in the song literally starts at the 19:1:000 section mentioned at the start of the errors…the song of course starts at 3:1:00
Visually I can’t find anything wrong with the notes on the chart….I deleted all notes in the range in the errors and recreated…they look the same and still give error…Midi cleaner says it fixed TWO errors, but the clean MIDI also fails with same errors…
Any insight into how to resolve this? Would really appreciate it…I thought this song was nearly finished.
Welcome to MIDI Tester 1.1
This program is intended to quickly let you test MIDI after MIDI for compliance with RBN2.0 standards. All you have to do is drag the MIDI file(s) here. This program will read through it, and create an adequate test project. MagmaCompiler is then called to process the MIDI for RBN2.0 compliance without actually compiling the song (so no time wasted compiling the audio).
You can do back-to-back MIDIs without having to close this form.
Ready to begin….
Found PART DRUMS…
Nemo’s MIDI AutoGen process started.
Added drum mix events successfully.
Nemo’s MIDI AutoGen process completed.
Starting Basic EMH Check..
MIDI passed Basic EMH Check without reporting any problems
This means the charts most likely have reductions charted.
Ready to send files to MagmaCompiler … hold on.
Output from MagmaCompiler follows:
SendToCompiler process aborted by user, there may not be any output from MagmaCompiler.

MagmaCompiler reported some errors. Please see the log for details on what must be fixed.Process completed in 0 minutes and 30 seconds.
You may drag another MIDI or just click Close to exit.August 17, 2020 at 7:11 am #513564I’ve not seen that error before, but this thread might help you: http://customscreators.com/index.php?/topic/10778-drums-double-note-off-error/?hl=%2Bdouble+%2Bnote

Thanks, I’ll check it out!
August 17, 2020 at 2:46 pm #513573Its a common guitar error found with sustains more but basically means your notes are not quantized. Highlight all the notes in the time frame listed then push q.
In English, it is basically saying that you are trying to hit a second note before the first note has finished and this is not allowed. I see this issue a lot with cut and paste as well as converts from CH or GH

I’ve already selected all and quantized as per another post recommending that be tried. Sadly I’m still getting the same exact error. Anything else I can try?
August 17, 2020 at 3:50 pm #513575I’ve just noticed my drum midi track says “Vel x0.00 PART DRUMS” on top left text of it…how do I fix this? not sure how that even got changed, but can’t find in Reaper where to edit/change that? What do I change it TO?
August 17, 2020 at 6:25 pm #513578OMG I fixed it…well I need to test the song first, but at least it compiled!
I hope this helps someone,
To fix this: You need to put your mouse on the very bottom edge of your midi track having the issue w/ displaying Vel x0.00 on the top of the track itself…after doing so it will change from a pointer to a drag icon…then hold and left click to drag upwards…almost as if you were trying to resize the actual midi track and squish it upwards..but instead a line will appear as it gets dragged up, showing THE “velocity” going up…sorta “filling the track background, as if with a liquid effect”…you want to drag it all the way up to the top edge, where it will read as VELOCITY 1.00
I don’t know how in the world that got lowered all the way down (or at all) in the first place, but I’m so glad it complies without errors now!
