Hello, I am new here, but not new to authoring. I have solo-authored some songs and worked with bigger groups in the RBN in the past. I decided to get into the customs scene in hopes of releasing content that some people may not have thought of, but will be plenty of fun.
This does not mean that I am scrapping RBN releases. I still have several songs I’ve announced that I want to release on the RBN, and am working on that. But since my XNA account ran dry, progress on those songs have been pretty much in a stalemate. I am doing customs as a sort of warmup to really push the release of those songs once it is restored.
Also, here’s a list of songs I wish to add. These range in all sorts of genres, and there is some rather “niche” stuff. It’s also a great big-ol’ bucket list that may shrink down in size over time.

July 25, 2013 at 12:55 am #403458Welcome!This.
July 25, 2013 at 4:21 am #403463Since you are into Sum 41, would you consider adding “Makes No Difference” to that list? I’ve always wanted that song in Rock Band since playing it in Elite Beat Agents.
July 25, 2013 at 4:30 am #403464If you’d be willing to cover vocals and keys pitches, I’d be willing to put together Daft Punk is Playing at My House to round out a 3-pack with ya. It was the first song I practiced authoring against, would be nice to see how far I’ve come. Even with it being a pretty basic track. (And I found what might be accurate tabs so I might even Pro it out.)
July 25, 2013 at 11:15 am #403475I’ll add those two suggestions, but don’t expect me taking suggestions to be a regular thing (in fact, it ends after this time). I will also add some other tracks to round out more three packs. They include:
Bad Lip Reading – Kicked Your Monkey
Tech N9ne – Worldwide Choppers
Tomahawk – Sun Dance
July 25, 2013 at 11:49 am #403476welcome aboard. looking forward to that Hoobastank song.
July 25, 2013 at 1:28 pm #403477Since you are into Sum 41, would you consider adding “Makes No Difference” to that list? I’ve always wanted that song in Rock Band since playing it in Elite Beat Agents.I’d like to start a collaborative project to get the soundtrack for that game in, actually — the songs not currently in Rock Band, at least. I may go start a thread.
August 5, 2013 at 7:13 pm #404074From the “Earmarked Songs” thread:
I’d like to add another album to my bucket list:iwrestledabearonce – Late For Nothing
Thunder Chunky
Letters to Stallone
Snake Charmer
Boat Paddle
Firebees
Mind the Gap
Carnage Asada (feat. Steve Vai)
That’s a Horse of a Different Color
I’d Buy That for a Dollar
Inside Job
It Don’t Make Me No Nevermind
I know, not the most “glamorous” band I could have chosen, but I listened to this album a few days ago and fell in love with it. It is a much different style of album (Mind the Gap doesn’t even have growling or screaming, all clean vocals). I feel it’d be pretty cool to have on Rock Band at least.
August 8, 2013 at 3:32 am #404215Okay, so I have a question of personal opinion over some potential releases.
Would anyone here object to me releasing some of my self-made work here on C3? I ask because I know my music is not necessarily the hottest thing in the RBN (if I had a nickle for every time someone told me my music sucks, I’d have bought myself a pizza by now). But I’d rather have the opportunity to offer at least some of them for free, as opposed to charging a dollar for them. I do have several v1 charts done, as well as some that were as good as passed for the RBN; for example, the only things that prevented Project Unknown from being released was an animation error and me losing the masters after while fixing it. I have these stems again thanks to keeping the .rba file and using RB3Maker to separate the files.
Anyway, thoughts on this? If you guys prefer me not to have my music in this program, I understand; my “audience” seems to be rather small and pretty niche, after all.
August 8, 2013 at 3:37 am #404216Release whatever you want! We’ve got Pony Rock Project songs, after all. Fuck the haters.
August 8, 2013 at 3:42 am #404218agreed.
granted, don’t get your feelings hurt if there are minimal downloads, but hey, you might make someone really happy!
i’m all for it
August 8, 2013 at 4:53 am #404221Well okay. I’m not really expecting many downloads, but of course, I didn’t expect much more than maybe fifteen downloads of Death in General, and it’s hovering over 300 purchases (which is kinda high for a kid with a MIDI keyboard). But sure, I’ll try to get some songs here as soon as I can, then.
August 8, 2013 at 9:01 am #404226How many are we talking about?
August 8, 2013 at 8:39 pm #404276How many are we talking about?I’m not thinking of releasing any entire albums here. I already announced a few from my second album for RBN, so I’ll leave those out of here. I’m thinking maybe three or four songs.
