You are my hero!
Have been listening to this song since the baseball playoffs started. Can’t wait to play it. Wondering what the rest of the album will sound like…I know it will be good.
October 9, 2014 at 8:29 pm #430801I heard this song the other day and thought to myself, I wonder how long until Funky makes it? Turns out, not long at all! Thanks Funky for all the awesome work you do!
October 10, 2014 at 9:54 am #430825Wow, talk about a quick turnaround!

October 17, 2014 at 6:14 am #431186Heyyy it’s Friday! Who wants some new tracks for the weekend!?
Today I bring you a handful of AC/DC, both new stuff and stuff we’ve seen before, a new rough cut from Noel Gallagher, as well as an unexpected full band track from Taylor Swift.
First, the AC/DC.
We have two tracks from 1985’s Fly on the Wall, which is making its Rock Band debut.
Danger is a slow track, especially for AC/DC (only about 78 BPM), but it still rocks.
If you’re just wanting the standard, hard rocking AC/DC, then this is your track. It features one of Angus’ most memorable licks, and some great drumming by Simon Wright.
I also spent a good chunk of my time going back to update the three tracks from Powerage. It was no easy effort, as these tracks, which I originally released at the end of winter, had a laundry list of issues. From incorrect guitar charts, to just plain bad lyric charting. They have all received huge makeovers, and I would highly suggest replacing the older versions if you have them. I have listed the complete set of changes below each track.
Rock n roll damnation fixes
Tempo map redone
Guitar solo redone
Guitar riffs fixed to reflect actual tablature
Guitar EMH reductions redone
Drum toms fixed
Drum rolls fixed
Vocals completely remade from scratch
Harms redone
Vocal phrases/overdrive redone
Missing drum kicks added
Rhythm guitar added on keys
Gimme a Bullet fixes
Tempo map redone
Guitar completely redone from scratch to reflect actual tablature
Practice sessions marked more accurately
Countin fixed
Several Lyrical fixes
Vocals overdrive redone
Drum fills improved
Rhythm guitar added on keys
gone shootin fixes
Tempo Map Redone
Main guitar riff updated
Guitar solo improved
Drums revamped
Drum fills fixed
Missing kicks added
Missing play markers added
Vocals completely remade from scratch
Incorrect lyrics fixed
Harms redone
Vocal phrases/overdrive redone
Overdrive and drum fills redone
Rhythm guitar added on keys
The three tracks are also available as a pack, if you prefer.
And we also have a track… from the future!
Well sort of… it’s a GBD rough cut of the lead single off of the new album by Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds, which is due out March 2nd, so that makes for the first Rock Band track from 2015!
Now in case you don’t remember what a rough cut from me entails, it’s basically expert guitar and drums done well, with none of the extra features my full band tracks have. You can read about it more in the first post. This one does have bass however.
This is a custom I made basically so I could just do something while listening to it. It’s not particularly exciting on anything. Guitar is mostly the same chords repeated over. Bass follows guitar. Drums are probably the most interesting with a few open hi-hats.
I wish I could chart more NGHFB, but his music isn’t particularly RB friendly. A lot of it is driven by vocals and piano. But I’m glad I could produce something.
And finally…
I have produced another pop song! Taylor Swift’s Red, from the album of the same name. This is a surprisingly good pop-country track. If you’re turned off by her extra-poppy songs like “Shake it Off” or “22”, don’t blow this one off, it’s a much different sound, more like her songs that were in Band Hero. It has a nice guitar track with a solid solo, a real cool bass track, and some of the most entertaining drums I’ve ever charted. I also charted some of the harmonies thanks to a midi I found. I warn you they are not perfect. I’m not espher, or really literally any other C3 charter, but I think they turned out okay.
I hope there’s something you like. Enjoy!

October 17, 2014 at 8:32 pm #431245You are awesome, dude. With Sink the Pink (wonderful title for a song), you have just about nailed every single one of my favorite AC/DC tracks – something that I didn’t think was possible. You are one of my many heroes on this forum. Thank you very, very much.
October 18, 2014 at 6:01 pm #431295yo that Taylor Swift song is bananas!!, also damn, did not expect the new Noel Gallagher track! Salute bro!!
October 24, 2014 at 5:57 am #431569New AC/DC incoming!
Today I bring you three more tracks from 1978’s Powerage. I remastered the three existing tracks last week, and now we have three new ones!
Down Payment Blues has some fantastic lyrics from Bon. It also features a great solo and fun instruments all around.
What’s Next to the Moon is probably my favorite track of the three. Bon is great here too. The song has a very abrupt solo, but the guitar is still very enjoyable and ends in a wail. A lot of the drums feature the toms, similar to Dirty Deeds‘ chart.
Sin City is a hardest of the bunch. Featuring a nasty solo, some real high energy drums, a lot like If You Want Blood. Good luck trying to 100% this one on guitar.
As usual, all tracks feature Malcolm Young’s rhythm guitar. If you want the three tracks as a pack, here you go. Also the first Powerage pack from last week, if you missed it.
Also, to continue my remasters, I have the two songs from Black Ice. The improvements made to these may not be as drastic as some of my previous fixes have been, but they certainly are worth the re-download. The solos have been improved, the tempo maps have been cleaned up, overdrives improved, and both now have rhythm guitar… which on Anything Goes is a bit crazy for AC/DC. Most of the track has Angus playing over 2 much quieter guitar tracks, which is rare for the band. So I felt like charting chart the rhythm a little creatively, which you’ll see if you play it.
I wanted to get something else besides AC/DC out this week to keep things varied, but I was busy earlier in the week and never really had the time. Still a lot to be happy about if you’re fan of the band!
October 24, 2014 at 7:16 am #431570A million thank yous for all your hard work, Down Payment Blues is my favourite AC/DC song and they are my favourite band so I love all these releases, I hope that you finish up Powerage at some stage, Riff Raff and Kicked I the Teeth would be fantastic to play. Look forward to any future AC/DC release thanks again!
October 24, 2014 at 4:39 pm #431593Down Payment Blues is my favourite AC/DC songI love hearing that. Glad to help. Certainly Powerage will be finished at some point. There is still a lot of Bon left to cover. But surprisingly enough, as far as Bon’s studio tracks go, we are now past the halfway point. 30 out of 54. 28 are from me. All of them are nice and polished now, and 20 of them have rhythm guitar. Not too bad I’d say. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
October 24, 2014 at 5:49 pm #431595Thanks funky
The powerage tunes are much appreciated as they are a some of my faves from that album.
October 25, 2014 at 1:31 am #431623As always, you the man!
