Hey guys, just wanted to list some songs/bands I’d like to see more of in Rock Band 3.

-Deadly Sinners
Probably their best known song, I remember hearing it the first time on Tony Hawk’s Underground 2, good times.
One of my favourite bands of the post-2000’s, their blend of Traditional Heavy Metal with some harsh vocals is still pretty unique to me. Having 2 dedicated and very different vocalists is always pretty fun for Rock Band imo, whether it be a blend or a full Harmony seperation.

A Belgian Thrash Metal band which has the 80’s aesthethic down to a T while still having a nice and modern production.

A Danish Thrash band with plenty of melody and tight riffing, By Inheritance is a timeless release for lovers of Megadeth’s Rust In Peace. Produced by THE Flemming Rasmussen who made sure Metallica’s Ride The Lightning sounded as good as it did.

Control Denied
People in the know might recognize this band as Chuck Schuldiner’s (Death) other band. Featuring Chuck’s signature guitar playing but not his vocals, Control Denied would be what Death would sound like with more accessible, melodic singing.

Always open to playtest any of these or anything you’re working on. Been playing Guitar Hero/Rock Band for 10 years and play every instrument (though not all on expert, but I generally have a good idea of what works and what doesn’t when watching a chart in-game).
+1 for Savatage: Hall of the Mountain King songs. I’d like to work on that at some point, but I’m still learning the ropes and my tempo mapping isn’t up to much yet …

Damn, nice. Another one of my favourites off the album. That 1-2 combo of 24 Hours Ago and Beyond is some magic.
I just added Symphony X to my WIP a week ago. Really got into them a month ago.
Will be doing stuff from their first five albums and upgrading quite a few of beard216’s customs. I have tempo maps for their first album ready with some drum charts, while audio prepared for the later stuff. Of Sins and Shadows has drums now as well.
Nothing much for now except tempo map preparation. I will focus more once I get my DragonForce customs out of the way.

I’m stoked for the much needed upgrades to SympX tracks. I saw them live on my 18th birthday, it was the Paradise Lost Tour, and the encore was “The Odyssey”.

I think it really pays off revisiting albums from a band you like every few years.
Sometimes nothing changes, other times you find yourself judging an album you disliked before very differently.

Same, I have plenty albums in my collection that I haven’t listened to in years or forgot about without listening more than once. Even recently there’s a bunch that I forgot to do my usual “3 listens and shelve”
