Hello, I’m new to this, and I have to learn more about charting before I can make my own, so I’d like to request a few full albums for charting (preferably full band/difficulty). My requests are as follows:

    Jay Reatard – Blood Visions

The Regrettes – Feel Your Feelings Fool! (already two songs in the database, glad to see they’re on your radar!)

    Boris – Pink

Various Artists – Phantom of the Paradise (Original Soundtrack Recording)

Various Artists – Hedwig & the Angry Inch (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack)

Any Lightning Bolt, but specifically Hypermagic Mountain

    NoMeansNo – Wrong

    The Jesus Lizard – Liar

Acid Bath – When the Kite String Pops

The remainder of Queens of the Stone Age – Songs for the Deaf

Any Sleater-Kinney, but specifically The Hot Rock

Any U2, but specifically the remainder of Achtung Baby

    Also, a few miscellaneous songs-

    The Cure – “A Forest”

The Damned – “Neat Neat Neat”

    Any Swans, but specifically “Oxygen”

Titus Andronicus – “A More Perfect Union”

    Oxbow – “Cold & Well-lit Place”

Snail Mail – “Pristine” (and full-difficulty “Heat Wave”, if you can manage that)

    Helium – “Pat’s Trick”

Ocean Machine (Devin Townsend) – “Bastard”

    Manic Street Preachers – “Ifwhiteamericatoldthetruthforonedayit’swholeworldwouldfallapart”

Any Sonic Youth, but specifically “Master-Dik”

I hope this is a good batch of songs to work on, I hope I’m not piling onto any of you. Thanks!

      Hi there, welcome to C3

One single song takes over ten hours (often a lot more) of effort to finish for the game.

I’ve never seen anyone request 12 albums at once, that’s gotta be a record. And a full Lightning Bolt album in there, wow.

I’m not going to repeat what people have said before me, so please read this carefully.

Good lord, I apologize. I’m still orienting myself with charting and being familiar with Clone Hero charting only I thought they took 3-6 hours. I’ll keep this in mind going forward. I was being overzealous here and again, I’m sorry.

On the bright side, I know this now, and if it really matters that much to me, I can attempt to chart them myself. Thanks.

Please do! The resources are here and more authors are always welcome.

No worries, hopefully you’re not discouraged by this information, but it’s better to know what you’re getting into before hand. They do get easier over time, but yeah, they do take a lot of work!

That being said, the most successful request threads here are not successful because of the subject matter, the song or the artist- it’s because the requester took the time to explain why a particular song would be a good choice, and 100% include a link to the song on YouTube so people not familiar with it can listen quickly.

          Welcome aboard.

I was like you when I first joined the community. I felt I could bang out a good Expert Only Guitar track in about 3 hours for any song. Then I realized how much more is involved here, rather than clone or guitar hero. I’m still learning new things literally every time I work on something but that makes it great! As Prez said, don’t be discouraged, we always need help!

I charted Heat Wave. However, I have no pride of authorship. If you think there is a better way to chart the guitar, happy to pass the files over to you so you can create a “full-difficulty” version. =-)

One thing you can do to get songs finished faster is to collaborate with others! It can make the time to work on one song much shorter of course it depends on how many instruments you want to be charted, the complexity of the instruments, and the duration. Hopefully you can find some people to collaborate with

Don’t be discouraged. It is a long process, but might be worth some nagging and pestering. In my case, take Pink Floyd’s Dark Side of the Moon. The first track from that album appeared here in 2013. By the time I came on board, many of the songs were done. I decided to finish the album, but one song seemed unchartable. For the C3 Tour last year, I did the others.

Last month, AJ charted the last song, took everyone’s work, and put it all together into one massive track. Now, after seven years, we can play the full album in one incredible sitting.

Getting a full album is hard. For the occasional masterpiece, it happens. It may take years, but it happens.

Doing the album sounds good but seeing i have an issue just figuring out how to get dlc into my RPSC 3 Rockband 3 correct location. like 100 hours and now i am bald as a eagle’s head. Its not a good look. Back to the album songs request. There is a awesome band “who” have rocked everyone on this earth who still draws breathe. The Who Legands all four memeber Moon is the one songs and stories are still being witten about. Entwistle like a Boris just stood in one place like madam tussoe’s wax figure played so loud he made you move by the virbration. Windmills and smashiing guitars Pete amazing journey he put us on then there is TOMMY, HAD Ann Marget for a mom, yea baby Roger the wild mic swinging voice of The Who So why not more dlc i have one suggestion either the live version of MY WIFE of the The Kids are allright Movie released in 1979 or Trick of the Light off Who are you both written by John Entwislte one about his wife who is out to kill him for never coming home the classic line “put on my lead boot and take a long long drive” the second song about sleeping with prositutes and thing of asking the if your alright how do you match up to all the Johns she has bedded Any way Those are my 2 songs hopefully someone could work on 1 of them I would really love it and thanks for reading my dribble Reidit
