You can also get it here, but I’m concerned they may have signed me up for a mailing list or something…

November 11, 2015 at 4:49 pm #459123Hey, I’m all for throwing a bone out there for LGBT folk.
As am I. I’ll just post what I posted on reddit on that:
My rant stems from the fact that months prior to release they had a thread for “inclusion suggestions” – they were saying they wanted to be inclusive to all sorts of people. Lots of suggestions were made for disabled players (including no kick, playing guitar on keyboard, high contrast mode, etc) and NONE of them made it in. What did make it in, were clothes that both kinds of characters can wear. Now there’s no male or female, but masculine or feminine. So they went inclusive for the LGBT community, which is OK. But not at the expense of the heterosexual community. Inclusivity of one cannot be at the expense of the other. So now having a free song through a gay/bi dating app is another slap in the face for those of us who are heterosexual, and in my case, married! This partnership should not have happened unless it’s also going to happen with eHarmony, OKCupid, Tinder, etc, and even then that would alienate those in committed relationships who wouldn’t be using those dating apps either.
November 11, 2015 at 4:56 pm #459124Is the giveaway song Electric Six’s “Gay Bar”?
November 11, 2015 at 5:00 pm #459125Obviously you’ve never been slapped properly.
November 11, 2015 at 5:03 pm #459126I doubt the song will be exclusively available by this means, it’ll probably go on sale at some later time. Also, I don’t see anything that excludes heterosexual people in RB4’s character customization? Like, you can still make a male-bodied character, and just assume he identifies as male. You can still give him entirely male features. The only real differences are that the body type names are different, and the clothing options aren’t limited to just male and female. The hight and weight issues aren’t even related to being gay, straight, cis, trans, or anything else, that’s just an issue of HMX being lazy and not implementing a basic character customization option that would be possible to do with any gender.
And as I said, it’s one DLC song that’ll most likely be available for everyone later. This also isn’t the first time HMX did a time-exclusive DLC giveaway linked to a product. They did this with Pepsi, too. Just wait a little bit, and the song should become available to you, anyways.

Only punched, sadly.
And I *was* joking, so I hope you (or anybody else) didn’t think I was being anything but sarcastic. I understand this is a sensitive topic.
November 11, 2015 at 5:07 pm #459129The song can be obtained directly from HMX, I posted the link in the OP when I created the post.
I still disagree with this, but I’ve never been popular so…

Sorry, that was in response to Nemo’s “feels like a slap in the face”, not your post! Carry on ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif”>
November 11, 2015 at 5:18 pm #459132My third-world country disciplinarian mother would disagree with you on that assessment. I’ve been slapped more times in my life than I’ve been punched.
November 11, 2015 at 5:21 pm #459133it’s a song by a band i’ve never ever heard of so i really don’t care. if i wanted to get a code i’d just use a throwaway email anyway
