November 21, 2014 at 10:20 pm #433344I hypothesize they got a nasty letter from HMX gently reminding them of a number of patents.
Doubtful. Performous, for example, has 5 lane guitar/drum play as well as vocals and it hasn’t been shut down. The publicly known situation with Phase Shift is that the developers don’t have enough time/motivation to fix problems in the current code base.
November 23, 2014 at 6:20 am #433399Can someone explain me the differences between the PlayStation 3/Xbox 360 versions and the Wii version of Rock Band 3? Please, don’t tell me about graphics difference because this is obvious. I want specific differences in gameplay, animations, interface, bugs corrections due to Title Updates, etc.
Any way to put these Title Updates on Wii? At least these problems of RBN 2.0 venues will be solved.
November 24, 2014 at 6:04 am #433423I’ve been looking for a workaround to at least get the Keys player to function properly in RBN2 > 1 conversions, but I haven’t gotten anything. Short of compiling proprietary RB3-style milo venues…
However, here is another cheat I know has been a long time request.
$Max Songs Limit is 3000
208FBEDC 000003E8
048FBEDC 00000BB8
E0000000 00000000Now, this bypasses the song limit message from the main menu and keeps loading the rest of your DLC. Limit is set to 3000 now. I don’t know if the game can handle it though. I estimate that perhaps the hard limit probably is around 2000 or so, depending if the save or cache give first. I haven’t tested with 3000 actual DLC, so use at your own risk until its sorted out.
November 26, 2014 at 11:21 pm #433527Good job man! Now it can have more Customs/DLC in-game.
I have a question: Any way to download official DLC and put it on the Emulator without a Wii?
November 26, 2014 at 11:49 pm #433529I don’t think it’s capable of doing that. Emulating the game is definitely not daily driver quality. You’re best off on an actual console to be able to do that.
December 3, 2014 at 7:02 am #433857Might as well be able to keep posting cheats I make in this thread. Here is the latest.
$Crowd Meter Increases
2010611C EC211028
0410611C EC21102A
E0000000 00000000This one sort of makes No Fail Mode obsolete. You can basically never lose crowd meter now. It’s great for improving the presentation quality of full band previews since you shouldn’t see glowing red tracks with this.
I just wish I had discovered this one sooner. I made some full band previews today using Dolphin.
Since I keep making cheats for everything I’ve wanted to do, I hope it would be possible to enable the debug cheats in the game so the auto-play cheat makes that cheat above obsolete.
December 3, 2014 at 11:59 pm #433883I want to create preview videos for my project’s musics I made for RB3, I need to test them first so I can post them here.
Also, If you like chiptune, I’ll leave here a Youtube link for my album, Moonstone: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=P … TkLXuSbApy
December 8, 2014 at 10:31 pm #434067Neat. So I hope these continue to help then.
Here’s the weekly cheat. This time it’s 2.
$Fast Startup

E0000000 00000000

E0000000 00000000
20B39F00 92FECD00
04B39F04 00000000
E0000000 00000000$No Video Venues
0488EA1C 00000000Fast Startup is a must! After the strap usage screen, you normally had to wait a whole 25 seconds or more before you can get to the title screen. Now, this cuts it down to about 7 seconds. You can and probably should enable this cheat through the USB loaders on the Wii because I think they also have some cheat support.
No Video Venues is one solution to a cleaner and maybe easier to render presentation. This kills the video to texture process causing the background in video venues (like All Instruments Mode) to appear all white. It’s a close “concentration mode”, but all black may be better.
December 9, 2014 at 11:00 pm #434110Disabling the texture on Dolphin’s graphics options may change that color to black
December 10, 2014 at 2:30 am #434115Don’t know anything about how making codes works but would it be possible for a code to be made that auto-plays everything, or something that prevents the stem from cutting out even though you are missing the notes?
December 10, 2014 at 2:35 am #434116That is easily accomplished by adding (or editing if they’re already present) the following two lines to a song’s DTA file.
(mute_volume 0.0)
(mute_volume_vocals 0.0)
That’s also accomplished by the Video Preparer tool in C3 CON Tools.
December 11, 2014 at 6:16 am #434193Auto play, anyone? Both good and bad sides to these. They’re not perfect and I don’t know how to fix the glitches. But if you ignore them, it’s probably okay. I can’t believe I’ve even gotten this far!
$Auto Play

*100% accuracy. Overflowing crowd meter glitch for some reason.$Auto Play Mode

Unless you end up finding a way to fix the Crowd Meter, maybe the next step is a code that simply hides the crowd meter
December 11, 2014 at 5:18 pm #434219The only problem of create a code to hide the crowd meter is the growing red lines on the track that WILL appear even in the crowd meter disappears.
December 11, 2014 at 6:53 pm #434221I looked into options of getting the crowd meter to not update. Or to get it to not appear. Or to freeze it at a value. Or to fix the accuracy of the in-game auto play. But nothing has worked. I will keep looking into it though. But yeah, even with the crowd meter increasing cheat, the glitch keeps happening, including the reddening of the track which is less desirable.
