I tried out Applause on drums (which was surprisingly fun) and just wanted to point out that the drum fills need to be tweaked a little.

 

Instead of charting the fills like this, they should be charted like this. When you cover up the next note it doesn’t turn out right in-game.

This applies to any customs you did that with, though up to you if you want to go through updating them since I know there are a lot of songs :S

Doesnt that make it so that you have to hit the next note immediately after the drum fill? o.o i gave that little extra space so that the final green note/cymbal would also be the first note of the normal notes. (so you wouldnt always have to hit a note immediately after a fill…which you sometimes cant avoid anyways. im bad at that to the point i almost always start overdrive with a reset multiplier ;P)

Would like to jump in and also say that the venue for Applause is awesome, though perhaps a more colorful post processing effect on the final chorus might be better than photocopy, otherwise it looks great! Also I noticed a cymbal roll lane that went on a bit too long, you are supposed to end the lane right before the final note to make it work better ingame.

I feel like i didnt do applause as good as i could have, at least when i look at how i charted the venue for ‘SuperGirl’ (although with super girl, the characters begin the big rock endings animations during the final chorus instead of on time, and thats annoyingly comical. lol)

Ooohhhh, didn’t know that o_o so the drum roll icon drags out to the note before the end~~~ Makes sense when i think about it. ill fix it whenever i add harmonies to the song :>….nobody hold their breath xP

It seems like that’s what would happen (I used to do the same thing ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” /> ) but if you end the fill right before the next note, the drumfill will cover up that next note in-game, so no need to cover it in Reaper

Its Guitar hero Version (no rockband stems for what ive seen) plus keys have been added. so i don’t see the issue for bringing this up?

Unless the GH version is some kind of special version then it’s against the site rules, as it is technically offering paid official DLC content for free which we don’t support. If a song is available as DLC, no posting here. As NL said, unless it’s a different version altogether, you can’t post it.

 

We all need to understand that the customs community is based on respect for the people who made it possible. That goes for Harmonix and for every single author. If Harmonix released a song that can be currently bought and played in Rock Band, no posting of such material is allowed. If a song playable in Rock Band 3 has been removed from sale, can’t be bought anymore and has no additions whatsoever, still no dice.

 

RBHP is an amazing project: contribute to it and we will all be grateful. But please no going around to post conversions for songs already available, we don’t want HMX to lose a single sale because of songs we offer in the same format. They are an incredible company with a fantastic CEO and they both deserve to take full advantage of their investments.
