I would also love some Steppenwolf and other classic rock tracks. Also, any Genesis and Journey would be awesome as well!

      Thanks!

I thought this was going to be about Elvis, Chuck Berry, & Buddy Holly. The rub used to always be the fact that we couldn’t get separated masters, but since we aren’t really worrying about that any more, we could get some serious early rock

The only concern I have is the “clarity” of the tracks. The technology and methods used to record material back then isn’t the same as the technology and methods used in later decades and now.

When I did my Beach Boys packs I really had to guess a lot of what was going on. I don’t think that’s a huge issue but still it makes authoring a bit more cumbersome.

Well, I for one was really impressed with the work done on the Beach Boys tracks. You did a great job on them.

Well, thanks. All in all they weren’t bad, I went back to fix up with pro keys one of those songs for a theme pack coming in the next weeks or so and I have to say apart from some glaring errors on vocals and wobbly tempo map (they were among the first I had ever done) I was expecting a worst job. They’re not great but once harmonies are touched up I think they still make great party material.

Talking about old school rock, I have to say I’m dying to author the crap out of Chantilly Lace just to be able to sing “Hellllllo baaaaaaby, this is the Big Bopper speaking!”.

My brother & I absolutely love the beach boys tracks, as they are just about all we get on rock band to sing anymore I think they’re done really well on harmonies, but a touch up would be pretty amazing to be seen done. My brother is a tad disappointed that the low Mike part on “Wouldn’t It Be Nice” isn’t charted, but we’re more than happy with how many songs you’ve added to the game, let alone the selections. & more songs would definitely be welcomed, but I would imagine the age of the songs would make some things a little difficult. (but I guess that would more so be in multitracks)

I’m still trying to get my first song finished (almost there,) but sooner or later I’ll be doing some really old stuff that I am sure would be fun to play. By way of example, In the Mood by Benny Goodman would be a blast to play. A few more in that vein are also on my radar. Also, this game needs some Hollies.

It’s great that people are going out there and doing Beach Boys stuff. Unfortunately I think the live version of Good Vibrations that got picked for RB3 wasn’t a good representation of the band. I know Good Vibrations is one of their best songs and all the vocal multitracks for the studio version got trashed, but it’s not as much fun to play when the recording isn’t as good.

The Beach Boys song I think would be most awesome on RB has got to be “It’s About Time”. I know probably hardly anyone here has heard of it, but it’s an amazing, rocking song with great harmonies and absolutely insane drumming by Hal Blaine.
