(The Flame – Update.3)
To be Reviewed:
– Pro Keys_X during Guitar Solo
– Harm2 section (note accuracy, not pitch yet)
Still to Finish Up
– Pro Key animation (waiting for PK_X to be finished)
– HARM2 pitched (if different from HARM1)
– HARM2 phrases/text events (I’m not 100% on what you keep, alter, ect)
– Guitar/Bass animation if desired
– Overdrive needs to be charted
– Missing DryVox (I don’t have a mic
)Hey. Are we still looking to do a New Years release for The Flame? I have not heard back from anyone (understandably, with the xmas releases and then the holiday’s themselves) and was just checking in. I have the tonight and tomorrow night pretty free and can work on anything else that may need to be done?
I’m not sure if this was picked up by either of you to finish or anything, so just checking to make sure work is not getting done twice, or is not being rushed for no reason. Let me know thanks!
Yeah, I remembered about this song a couple of days ago and I was about to chime in to say it doesn’t really fit that much. We can schedule it as a single, when do you think you can make it ready for a final pass?
If someone wants to quickly just check those 2 things and see if they work good, I can go ahead and finish up everything under the “Still to finish” notes.
I can have another user I usually get help from help finish up the HARMs/Dryvox and vocal phrasing stuff, and then I’ll be able to do the rest. When someone can get back to me with those 2 things, I should have it done less than a week after for a final pass.
Side note. I have guitar/bass animations listed under the still to finish. Are they a big requirement for a C3 release. I’m planning on the standard text events for guitar/bass (ie, idles, plays, ect), and I’m sure I’ll be able to throw in some of those chord hand annimations as I have a tab which is close enough.
Just curious if I actually need to go through and do the left hand fretboard animations. Would prefer not as i have not done them before, which is why I’m checking in.

The only thing that is a “concern” for me is the HARM2 part, which I’m not sure I’m up to fixing (Nyx?), the rest is fine.

– Finished drum fills, overdrive, Pro Keys, and PK_RH animations
– Also created simple LH animations
– ejthedj is working on HARM2, and I will repost the new download when he’s finished and I check everything over.
The Flame – Update 4

Here is the update for The Flame. ejthedj has finished with the HARM. He updated the vocals with a couple changes, fixed the HARM2 section, added overdrive for Vocals, and provided the dryvox for HARM1. His changes are included in the file along with everything else that I did. He compiled the vocals only from his side and said they compiled so they should be fine.
I quickly ran the .midi through the tester and it through no errors which is good, but I did not have a chance to build a rb3_con so there could be an issue or two from there. If you need anything else from me let me know, otherwise I bundled everything together and it should be getting close to finished! This is my first real overdrive charting so I would double check those to make sure they play? I followed an every other unison like the docs say; the bass has a later start so I threw an extra overdrive in the middle of the song to compensate.
Excellent, let’s try to make this a February 6th release then.

2) Journey – Open Arms added to Reserved List
Three instruments are finished, with vocals being completed soon. I expect to have the file on here later this week [Pro_X keys possibly missing at that point, but will continue to be worked on].
I spoke with Far recently, and I think I am going to start charting out Wheel in the Sky once finished with Open Arms. Wheel is another highly requested Journey song on the forums, and I know there have been talks with Nyx/Far to start it at some point. If alright, I’ll get the file going.
Nyx, if you are still interested (when you have the time) I would love for you to take the reigns with the vocals. If you guys would prefer to chart any instruments specifically yourself, let me know. Otherwise, I’ll get going on the rest.
Since I have plans for this, I’m hoping that down the road there will be some time to focus, and we could possibly get these 3 songs out in a Journey 3-pack release? Keys are going to be the biggest thing, and I’ll do my best to get everything somewhat close ha. Let me know if there are any problems with this idea or anything else I talked about.
