December 13, 2013 at 3:59 pm #410630Thanks for the hard work on these conversions, and the 4 pack of some of the eighties-est music ever. Not gonna lie, pretty shocked to see 4 more Culture Club songs without Karma Chameleon, but maybe someday?
I think I have almost all of the converts already, though I will definitely upgrade them. I don’t remember the Band of Horses song being previously available, though – did I just miss it? Pretty excited to see that one come through.
The Band Hero version of “Take a Picture” is dramatically different from the radio version. Is it the album version? I love that song, and still enjoy that take, but it does sound “off” and is too distracting for me or my wife to go back and sing again.

When GHtoRB3 did this conversion I thought they jacked something up on it (not that they would ever actually release with it messed up or anything) but then I looked into it a little more and found it is actually a re-record. I think it was specifically re-recorded for GH and yeah, I agree, it sounds A LOT different than any version I have ever heard and not in a good way unfortunately.
As far as the releases go this week, thanks guys! I will pick up (or re-pick up) most of the GH conversions.

December 13, 2013 at 4:16 pm #410635Just want to point out a minor correction. “Theme from Spiderman” has been mislabled as being from Guitar Hero 5 when it’s actually from Guitar Hero 6
December 13, 2013 at 6:11 pm #410638No Way Back is still using the Wii stems since according to the GHtoRB3 docs, GH6 moggs are really tough to decrypt, right?
December 13, 2013 at 6:20 pm #410639It’s not that it’s hard…it’s impossible without figuring out the encryption, which hasn’t been cracked yet and by now I expect never will.
All the current GH6 songs in our DB use the same stems. Haven’t heard a complaint yet
December 13, 2013 at 6:42 pm #410641Culture Club?! No way!
My Christmas Rock Band party just got even more 80s awesome.
Thanks again everyone who does this.

I see, so you’re saving Karma Chameleon for some other pack down the road. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
December 13, 2013 at 9:47 pm #410648Ooh, maybe with a certain Radiohead and John Lennon song!
*whoops, that was supposed to quote the previous post.

Or even a certain Ida Maria song.
December 13, 2013 at 11:02 pm #410653Band of Horses – “Cigarettes, Wedding Bands” (GHtoRB3)
I dont remember seeing GHtoRB3 team doing this song in the past. There is no link for it on the GHtoRB3 google sheet. Shouldnt this be a brand new release?

It was a WIP from the GHtoRB3 team. They were doing some play testing before their hiatus.

Shouldnt this be a brand new release? When I decided to push for these songs to be added to our DB, I found them on the GHtoRB3 spreadsheet and/or server. All of the songs were done a while back, some people are likely to have had them, hence FtV. In any case, what difference does it make? The labeling of the songs is just a superficial thing. You should download them just the same ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

Its no big deal, I just never had an older version so I was wondering who did it before. Carry on.
