I tried this on pro drums, I understand it’s a WIP but medium is a bit boring, needs more snare and less HH/kick combo. Hard plays like the medium I’m used to.

November 23, 2015 at 12:44 am #459696i was thinking about to chart drums for this two songs but both merged into one track, “Long Distance Runaround / The Fish (Schindleria Praematurus)” would you consider this option?
November 23, 2015 at 1:05 am #459699In fact, that’s exactly how I plan to do it.
” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />And since there are so many bass overdubs on The Fish, I’ve spread them out over both guitar and keys.
There’s even a cowbell for the vocalist.

Looking forward to seeing how you revamp those vocals and the tempo map on this one, pretty good tune!

” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />i charted it a long time ago on prodrums, the song is very complex cause the intro, middle section and outro there are a lot of additive rhythm and divisive rhythm, multiple mix of time signatures, i counted 6/4 7/4 8/4 9/4 11/4 etc…, while sung parts are almost all in 4/4 (8/8 for fast part before last verse and chorus). i think the best way to chart in this odd time signatures (like i did for example in 11/8 13/8 17/16 19/16 etc..) is adding a 4/4 polyrhythm in your mind, as im drumer this helps a lot on good tempo maping in complex odd time signatures. my only drums version looks more neat and organized. however overall charting was very nice.
” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />December 1, 2015 at 5:36 pm #460116I mapped it almost exclusively in 4/4 and ¾, with a smattering of ⅞ for good measure.
December 2, 2015 at 1:25 am #460146I am no great RB guitar player by any stretch, but holy crap, that part just completely eviscerated me. I was helpless against the onslaught of HOPOs.
