Hmm.
August 24, 2014 at 4:37 pm #427827Sting – Fortress Around Your HeartHmm.
You know… I’ve been wanting to add Vox to these, but I’m stuck at ‘Add Lyrics from File’. “Shift-L” does nothing for me and I’ve been unable to find a way to make it work.

” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif”>Did you select all the notes in the vocal MIDI window (ctrl+A) before doing Shift+L?
The “Import lyrics for selected notes from file” action is a default part of REAPER – you don’t have to have the RBN plugins installed to get it to work.
To double-check the key mapping, pull up the Actions window, pull down “Section” and select “MIDI editor”, then click “Find shortcut”, type Shift+L, and you should see the action. If it’s mapped to something else, sort by action name, and find out what the key is!
August 24, 2014 at 5:20 pm #427831Thank you.
” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />The problem was that the shortcut was not mapped, and I am not yet familiar enough with Reaper to know where to find it.
I know what I’ll be doing for the foreseeable future.

” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif”>Since it’s your first time around with vocals: try making a minute or so of a song (maybe even that one
” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif”>). Maybe one verse and one chorus. Send me a PM and I’ll give you a detailed review. Almost everyone needs some help aligning with the way RB3 vocals should be charted, unless you’re one of those natural madmen like mrmet or BearzUnlimited.August 24, 2014 at 6:23 pm #427837Will do. Thanks for that.
I have a blast drumming, but Vox is my strength, and I’d really like to become proficient at charting same.
August 24, 2014 at 7:22 pm #427840Thanks. Glad to see someone else enjoys at least some of these.I’m curious what you thought of the chart? It felt a little sparse to me, but that was all I could hear….
I know the bridge could use a little more work.

I really enjoy them (at least the songs you have picked), but I just don’t play drums. Once other instruments are added, I will be all over them!

I expect to be adding vocals of all of these in the near future.
Stay tuned…

September 4, 2014 at 4:16 pm #428557You are most welcome.
” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />More upgrades are in the pipe… as well as some new selections, including my first full band (w/pro keys & multitrack audio).
I just want to make them as ‘right’ as I can first.
