Good day to all
My partner has been a busy guy & we have many great tunes lined up for season 3.
We have hints for the first two songs to kick off Showdown season 3 on Tuesday.
Care to venture a guess?
March 18, 2018 at 10:01 pm #496168Visual hints!! YAY!!
March 18, 2018 at 10:16 pm #496169I think I know who the band is for clue #2. Just knowing they are going to be in RB3 is so AWESOME because this will be the first custom of their songs.
And YES, I Can Dig It! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />
March 19, 2018 at 12:50 pm #496194#1. Jesus Christ + (Now defunct) Starjet Airlines + 1973 = “Jesus Christ Superstar” – Murray Head (admittedly, the ‘Hard Rock’ sub genre heading makes me doubt the accuracy of that answer)
#2. Periodic Table, rare earth elements + MrPrez’s preview trailer +1971 = Rare Earth – “I Just Want to Celebrate”
If this is the Showdown contenders, Rare Earth may just find themselves “more popular than Jesus”!
So where can I cash in on those 5 day old Internet Cookies? ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />

Hey Funk, you can have the half I didn’t eat ok & when your wife figures out the second clue & gives you the answer to post here, I will cough up the other half.

Uh….in that case, I’ll just settle for that stale uneaten half…….(as long as you ain’t slobbered on it)
and if me or Housequake do figure out what that other clue might be….it’s probably for the best that we just keep the answer to ourselves.
It’ll spare your viewers from having to see you doing the ‘Kitty Got Hairball Issues’ maneuver, just so you can accommodate me. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif” /> ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
See you guys tomorrow! ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_biggrin.gif” />
March 19, 2018 at 7:11 pm #496201FYI, I dusted off the RB3 and brought it over my brother’s house for a big St. Patty’s Day party. Everybody was watching March Madness games and bullshitting until about 9:30pm (all of the women and most of the kids were bored), but as soon as I turned it on and belted out your custom of “Sweet Caroline” (I was half in the bag, so it’s OKAY!), everybody really got into it and there were like 20 people playing Rock Band as of 2am when I went to bed. A guy I used to play Rock Band regularly back in the day (that I hadn’t seen in 7 or 8 years) and his family showed up, and he was completely amazed and in awe of all of the customs that this community has produced.
So you guys pretty much saved St. Patrick’s Day for a bunch of losers in New Jersey this year. Thanks again for all that you guys do!
March 19, 2018 at 7:18 pm #496205Not 70’s (technically, released in 1969), but Peter, Paul & Mary “Leaving on a Jet Plane”?

Feel free to guess, that’s what the hints are for.

Glad we could be a part of your St Patty’s day party.
Not 70’s (technically, released in 1969), but Peter, Paul & Mary “Leaving on a Jet Plane”?
Technically, that’s not it.
March 19, 2018 at 9:53 pm #496217…I turned it on and belted out your custom of “Sweet Caroline” (I was half in the bag, so it’s OKAY!)…
…How else does one sing Sweet Caroline?
Cool story. I live for those types of parties!
