Hello, I’m curious if there is a way to create custom song sources in Rock Band 3. It’s been an idea on my mind for a while but I never got around to ask if it’s possible.
It was. One of the title updates got rid of it.

That sucks, Thanks for the help!

I wasn’t aware of this. Under that title update, could you simply edit the source from a song’s .dta, or was there more to it than that?

If I remember correctly it was as simple as a line in the DTA file. The old versions of GHtoRB3 songs had that in them.

When I drag a custom file into DTA Editor, I see the line of Source.

Right. He’s saying that a newer title update removed the ability for the game to read and display custom sources. You can still view sources in the .dta though.

I’m confident it was TU4.
Title Update 5 broke customs. This of course means you have to be using an earlier version (ie title update 4) of the original (not MadCatz) release, and you have to play offline or else the game will force you to install update 5 and will break customs.

That’s not what he’s talking about though. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_wink.gif”>
