Console ID Wrong Length

I started following the tutorial for my Wii today. Everything was rolling along smoothly until I came to the ng_id.txt file. I got my wii console id using xyzzy. It is 8 digits. I entered it in the ng_id.txt file without spaces and when I run the RB3WiiCustomsManager I get the error Console ID Wrong Length. Can anyone help me with this please?
