New Full Band Release
Alice in Chains – “Put You Down”
Drums graciously provided by Mr Canuck, but the fills and ODs were placed by me – if they are problematic, it is my doing. Big thanks go out to CrazyCanuck for providing the drums in my last four Alice in Chains Full Band New Releases over the past couple of months. If not for him, they would not have been released any time soon – I would have sat on them while trying to fill out other incomplete customs. Thanks Canuck!!

Wow, thanks! I’m really glad you like them so much! If I could, I would chart every song they made, but time doesn’t allow it. There will be more to come, I can promise you that much.

Colonel i found this website http://www.karaoke-version.com/ its has some really decent AiC isolated tracks (Cover of course) But they sound great, the got me wrong multitracks are spot on!!! I’ve come up with an idea for a huge “As Made Famous By” project to get a huge amount of multitrack songs into rock band. If i buy the alice in chains ones will you chart and make them. I wouldn’t trust AiC with anyone else

Thank you for the vote of confidence, but my instinctive reaction is what it’s always been toward charting covers, which is no. It’s a balancing act to be sure, but I’ll take “playing” the original song by the original artist over the muting of a missed note on a “really close version” any day. That’s just me, though, and I may be in the minority.

Yeah I’ll take the original over a cover any day of the week
jeez i just thought it would be a nice way for people to enjoy more multitrack songs…It’s a nice gesture, for sure, but in our polling and experience both prior to and during C3, most people prefer original artist w/ no multis to cover artist w/ multis. In comes down to the author’s tastes, as well, and if the author wants originals, they’ll want originals.

If you dig on multi-tracks, chart ’em up and share them! Some folks will DL them, some won’t, but I think charting any song has to be something you do more for yourself than anything else, at least in the beginning.

colonel awesome work! I was wondering if i was allowed to do some playthroughs of your songs on my youtube channel?Its mostly isolated tracks from guitar hero and rock band for people to play along too but i was thinking of going in a different direction.
