      Hey guys.

I’ve been working on this song for a while, and have it probably 80% completed, the only things left to do is make bass reductions, record dryvox, and do a little bit of touch-up work around the vocals.

Oh, and get the song back in sync when it becomes a con ><img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_frown.gif” /> …I cannot seem to figure out why it is desyncing when I make a con of it.

It looks fine in Reaper’s preview, and looks fine based on sound, but it’s not synced up when I put it into RB3, the notes are just a little off.

This has been driving me mad for the past few days, and I’m out of ideas, so I’m asking for help if anyone is interested.

Here’s a zip with all of the project files that I’ve got put together.

Maybe there’s a delay in my headphones, or maybe I’m just stupid, but it would be very helpful if someone could at least point out what’s wrong with it. (I have a few other songs that I’m working on and those turned out fine so far)

When you export MIDI, did you make sure tempo map went with it?

Post the project, Reaper + audio.

              He did already. It’s all in the RAR archive.<img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_cheeky.001.gif” />

Sorry, it’s late here and I’m supertired… :sweatdrop:

The tempo map is not in the best shape possible. I think you should go over it and improve it because at times it’s really off. At M27.1 is off by 90ms in example, which is an amount of delay that will make the song impossible to play.

Also, there’s a lot of discrepancies in the charting. Take a look at M91: the 3 instruments come in all at different times on the chart. And after measure 84 drums seem always a half a beat/a beat and a half off, either early or late. I don’t have time to take a close look at the whole song but this is not something that only show up in game, this you can catch in Reaper.

Recheck your tempo map: it fluctuates quite a bit, but as a rule audio is way too late. Also, check consistency, instruments seem to go their own way, specifically drums from M84 on.

Wonderful feedback, upon closer inspection those do appear to be some problematic measures, I don’t know how I didn’t notice what happened to the drums around M86…

For future reference, my OCD wants me to chart the notes in reaper in the numbered measures from the sheet music, but sometimes that doesn’t work out because of loosely timed wait lengths. This caused me at one point to make a measure that was 75/64 just to add that extra 16th note into the measure so the next one lines up. Does RB3 support weird-ass time signatures like that?

Edit: After some crazy math and re-timing, I’ve got it in a lot better shape based on lining up the notes visually to the waveform. I’m going to try it out in RB tomorrow and will post the new version here with all the pieces back in place if I have any more issues, otherwise I’ll be reducing bass notes and recording dry vox then releasing a con for play.
