In honor of Vektor releasing their anticipated third album Terminal Redux, I thought I’d go ahead and release this song which I’ve been slowly working on the last couple months.
Vektor – Tetrastructural Minds
Brutally fast and difficult 200 bpm progressive thrash metal mayhem, but especially on guitar. I think this is one of Vektor’s finest moments, and it’s high time I release it now that their shockingly good third album has dropped.
May 11, 2016 at 6:11 am #468461I actually auditioned for vocals in Vektor back in 2003. I lived I’d Arizona at the time and they had a kick ass demo with most of the songs from their first 2 albums. Glad they are having some sucess and I hope to see more of their songs in the game.

I appreciate each & every one !

Pretty cool factoid. ” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif”>

That’s really cool, man. I’m really happy with how far they’ve come, I’ve been listening to them since Black Future which was an amazing debut, and they’ve done nothing but improve.

June 15, 2016 at 6:22 pm #470383July 15, 2016 at 2:26 am #471937New song today, this is a quick release before I put out a ton of stuff soon.
Six Gallery – Toys in Babeland
This is a beautiful and expertly crafted acoustic piece from the song “Smile Like A Switch”, being the hidden track on the album. The band themselves refer to it as “Toys in Babeland”.
Hugely challenging and somewhat draining if you don’t two hand tap the buttons, due to having the most complicated guitar work found in this band’s small collection of songs.
July 21, 2016 at 7:37 pm #472277Bunch of new songs today, a lot of very tasty offerings for drums, along with my first attempt at charting keys!
Intronaut – City Hymnal
This song is a rollercoaster on drums. So many awesome patterns and fills. The drummer just cut loose on this album and took his playing to a whole other level, and it especially shows on the album closer here.
Aside from this Intronaut song, I have 5 songs from a band I’ve always loved, but have been overlooked as somewhat of a joke for years by many. I personally rank them among bands such as Converge and Dillinger Escape Plan as far as metalcore goes. These guys originated the term “Nintendocore” due to their 8-bit keyboards, but they are so much more than that.
HORSE The Band – Cloudwalker
First song here is from their last and by far best album Desperate Living. This song is the opener and a culmination of the personal hell and turmoil the band went through to get to this point. While not as technical as their previous releases, this song still contains tons of fun and off-kilter drumming to match the off-kilter song writing.
HORSE The Band – Murder
And here we have my first ever attempt at charting Keys! Wasn’t so bad considering I didn’t delve into the pro side of things. This and the next 3 songs are all from their album A Natural Death, which I chose to do mainly because of the fantastic drumming by their one time drummer Chris Prophet. I hear he retired from drumming later after recording this, which is a shame since the guy was supremely talented. This song is also a lot of fun on guitar, bass, and keys, so I figured it’d be a shame to leave any of them out.
HORSE The Band – New York City
One of their more dynamic and progressive songs from this album. Very challenging but fun on both drums and guitar. And that scream halfway through! Also has an awesome low budget pseudo-80’s music video.
HORSE The Band – The Startling Secret of Super Sapphire
If you only check one of these songs out, let it be this one. This has gotta be my favorite song from this album and one of my favorites by them in general. The drums on this song are just straight up awesome, and it marked a huge step forward in terms of this band’s songwriting and especially their technicality.
HORSE The Band – I Think We Are Both Suffering From The Same Crushing Metaphysical Crisis
Bit of a mouthful, eh? This is the penultimate track on this album and most likely the closest the band ever got to straight up prog metal. Very challenging on drums and guitar, similar to songs like Blinded by Fear and some of the Dragonforce DLC in the first half, but the chorus features a very fun electronic drum beat pattern, and the second half of the song is a huge jazz fusion-esque buildup featuring nothing but a good time on drums.
July 29, 2016 at 5:34 am #472575Amazing release, man! Didn’t think anyone would tackle HORSE the Band and you put out 5 tracks. I played them all (and the Intronaut song) on drums and they were great with a lot of interesting and fun to play patterns.

Thanks a lot, man! I didn’t think anyone would touch HORSE either, but they have a ton of fun songs so I figured I ought to do a few.
I still want to do a few more off Desperate Living, and I know Gigakoops has Shapeshift in his WIP thread which I’ve been dying to play for a while now.
July 31, 2016 at 6:53 am #472688New song today:
Converge – Aimless Arrow
Well, this is probably the hardest song I’ve done yet, for drums at least. I can hardly even pass this, let alone 5 star it. Thanks Ben Koller. This will be infinitely more playable if you have an electric kit and can move your yellow tom up a bit for crossovers, with a yellow crash cymbal/hi-hat on the left of the snare.
