HELL YEAH! Been wanting the rock show for ages. Thanks prez
December 31, 2019 at 11:59 am #508837Today is unfortunately the last day of Chart-a-Thon, and this decade. When I first heard about Chart-a-Thon going on until New Years Eve, I wanted to make a pack that featured some of my favourite songs from the decade. I was planning on including a lot more songs, but ultimately just ran out of time. But hopefully I can work on them some more and release them in the new year. In the meantime, here are some of my picks that I hope you’ll find useful for your Rock Band New Years Eve party!Ariana Grande – “One Last Time” Authored by drummerockbandWhen I think back to rising artists in the 2010s, Ariana Grande no doubt comes to mind. She is a powerhouse vocalist, similar to the likes of Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston. She exploded onto 2010s Top 40 constantly with songs like this one. “One Last Time” peaked at 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2014.Ariana Grande – “Break Free (ft. Zedd)” Authored by drummerockbandHere’s another selection from “My Everything”, which I think is Ariana’s most iconic album if you ask me. I knew I couldn’t just do one song from the album. This song really solidified that Ariana Grande could make some awesome songs. With the help of German-Russian DJ Zedd, this song was a smash hit. In fact, this song just destroyed the Billboard Hot 100 when it peaked at 4! If you’ve turned on a pop radio station at all during and after 2014, you’ve probably heard this one. I highly recommend both Ariana Grande songs!Zedd – “Clarity (ft. Foxes)” Authored by drummerockbandBefore Zedd assisted Ariana on “Break Free”, he and British singer Foxes collaborated on the infectious “Clarity”. This is definitely one of my favourite songs of the decade. I was surprised that nobody has charted this before, considering how well known the song has become. The song won a Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording at the 56th Grammy Awards, which was both Zedd and Foxes’ first Grammy win.Ingrid Michaelson – “Girls Chase Boys” Authored by drummerockbandNow this one, while still a pretty big hit for Ingrid Michaelson, clearly isn’t as popular as the 3 songs above. But! It’s still catchy as hell and has a pretty laid back feel to it. This 2014 hit managed to peak at 52 on the Billboard Hot 100. If you don’t recognize the song by name, I recommend giving it a listen! It’s a really fun song. And that’s a wrap for me with Chart-a-Thon! Please like always, if you enjoy the content, don’t forget to donate at http://chartathon.com! Also, have a Happy New Year!!SONG COUNT: 383Up next, more great content from i0brendan0 and Oddbrother!December 31, 2019 at 3:14 pm #508839Thanks for all the awesome tunes, everybody! What a fun month this has been.

December 31, 2019 at 5:05 pm #508842Eight hours ago drummerockband posted some hits of the 2010s to mark the end of the decade. Here I bring you some of my favorite songs spanning 17 years.
First song is one of my all-time favorites. If you’ve ever played SSX or SSX Tricky, you might recognize this song from a couple tracks including Snowdream, Aloha Ice Jam, and Tokyo Megaplex. I even got in touch with the artist to see about stems but unfortunately they told me the entire thing was a live recording.
Space Raiders – Song for Dot – i0brendan0
Note – Uses DIY stemsSecond song, I first heard on The Sims 4 soundtrack as a simlish version. I fell in love with the song right away and it became a part of my daily listens. Expect more of The Knocks to come to the database.
The Knocks – Classic (feat. Powers) – i0brendan0
I’ll leave it to Oddbrother for the final song.
Brad – Canadian singer, songwriter, and founder of the one-man band, Brad Sucks – has been shelling out his musical creations on the Internet before it became a main stay. This one song from an ironically titled album about depression and twisted relationships becomes a lyrical “dramady” and encourages humming along to the catchy tune.
Brad Sucks – Making Me Nervous – Oddbrother (i0brendan0)
Note – Stems recreated from source files.SONG COUNT: 386
Hint: There’s not much to hint about, other than great songs from great artists charted by great authors to showcase the end of another decade.
Note – My songs will be posted at my earliest convenience. Click the images above to download them.

January 1, 2020 at 1:31 am #508850CHART-A-THON FINALE: NEW YEAR’S EVE BASH!!!
It’s been one month and seven days since we started this epic event and now it finally comes to a close with these epic tracks. Before we get started on this final event we at C3 would like to thank everyone who participated from all the communities that have contributed to this wonderful charity event and a huge thank you to all those who donated! If you haven’t already it’s not too late! Just go to http://www.chartathon.com and make a donation! To reiterate no donations are obviously required but if you can we ask that for every song you’ve downloaded in this event to donate at least 90 cents to a good cause. Even if you cannot donate we appreciate your support of the event and the wonderful authors who contributed!
And now…for the finale!
First we’ll start 2020 off with a bang brought to you by IMMCTNTJK!
So you may be thinking, “Wait a second, this isn’t Green Day”, but you are incorrect!
Green Day has several side band projects, this being one of them. I personally am not too keen of this side project, but this is the only opportunity that I have to release it (2020, get it?) So! This is most likely a one time thing from me, I have a huge project in the works, I hope everyone has a happy and safe new decade!
Next comes a couple tracks from kueller!
kueller here to offer a change of pace from the band I’m more known for. The Regrettes come from Los Angeles bringing a classic Southern California rock sound combined with old riot grrrl styles. I chose two songs here to represent them. Dress Up from their sophomore album is a quick and fun pop rock song, with beautiful harmonies and fun parts on all the instruments. Pale Skin is a unique one from their debut bringing in an almost shoegaze-y wall of sound driven by the rhythm that will be sure to entertain your drummer.
Now a special treat from Kloporte – the entire Polygondwanaland album!
King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard – Loyalty
King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard – Horology
King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard – Tetrachromacy
King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard – Searching…
King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard – The Fourth Colour
King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard – Polygondwanaland (Part 2)
King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard – Polygondwanaland (full album)
From our resident TheSheepQueen comes ten songs from each year of the decade!
I started middle school during the 2009-2010 period. There isn’t much to remember about that time outside of the french soccer team fiasco at the World Cup, and some great music. This is from my favorite french album of that year. The song is about regrets in life, where you have deceived your close ones and decide to leave for better.
2011 wasn’t a much important year for me, nothing to big happened, but I met Alice Cooper! This song is very reminiscent of classic late 60s Rock where Disco was a tiny baby awaiting to explode in the following decade.
2012 wasn’t too big either. I got back into Guitar Hero after stopping for a year or 2 with World Tour. That’s when I got from easy to medium difficulty. Can Be Late could be sort of described as a more harsh alternative rock version of The Less I Know The Better. But don’t think this is the exact same, this song is really catchy and fun to play!
Stromae is often regarded as the guy who saved francophonic pop from being complete garbage. To this day, lots of artists borrow from his influence. This song deals with the lack of a father figure, of which he suffered. This combined with the House music-like vibe results in a chart breaker, as well as a fingers breaker for the keyboardist and guitarist!
Despite being first released in 2010, Barbra Streisand made its album debut on 2014’s Quack. Whether you think basing your song around a single sample is plagiarism or not, you cannot deny that this is an absolute bop.
2015 was one of the golden years of Vine, and that’s how I discovered the song. It has a simple structure but shows how underrated or an artist Jason Derulo is in the style he performs in, with this song almost predicting Bruno Mars’ 24K Magic album.
2016 was the year I started my cinema studies. In one class we were shown the recently released at the time film Hardcore Henry. And while I love the movie, I ADORE the soundtrack. This is the song accompanying the film’s conclusion. EZ.
2017 is the year I became more active in this forum. Got closer to the members, made great friends, and I think this song is kinda fitting. My place is always rainy, but at home it’s sunny.
You might know this song for being the longest french representation in any YouTube Rewind, a mind blowing 4 seconds in 2019. Cringe aside, this song somehow got pretty big outside of France, being praised by Rihanna, Madonna and more local unknown celebrities.
And here we are, with a band I discovered this year from Norway. You might surely enjoy this song if you’re into acts like Foster The People. It’s poppy, trippy, and really, really cool.
Something fun from MrPrezident!
“Captain Kirk is climbing a mountain. Why is he climbing a mountain?”Why does this question even exist? Only because Bill Shatner briefly got to helm the entire enterprise, and not just the fictional ship on which its adventures took place. The horrendously self-indulgent and tedious directorial debut in the form of the “Star Trek V: The Final Frontier” prompted an international revolt against the film and TV series’ formerly kitschy and fun image. This was Star Trek’s tipping point towards over-saturation, particularly for Shatner as a cringe-worthy, yet indelible part of its mythos.Remix artists Fall On Your Sword have re-purposed Shatner’s famous interview where he attempts to answer the question, describing a scene where his character Kirk attempts to futilely climb El Capitan, a large vertical rock formation in Yosemite National Park. The joke lies in his explanation of the scene, while trying to explain his artistry, ends up making it sound like Kirk is in love with the rock formation. A fitting turn of events for a character that was known to have affairs with many people and aliens throughout the original series of Star Trek. And now the last two songs from yours truly, Bansheeflyer!
A simple but emotional B-side to the hit single “Ohio”. Like the A-side this song refers to some of lesser-proud moments in history with this anti-war statement. Only two guitars (one charted to bass) and three singers. As it’s one of those acoustic tracks the guitars can be quite tricky!
And as it would make sense, we end with “The End”, the dark and sinister finale to The Doors’ self-titled debut album. Overall not too difficult but once you hit the fast part it’s near impossible to FC on most instruments. Trust me when I say I’ve been trying to release this song for years but it’s been incredibly difficult to chart thanks to tricky instruments, a mess of a tempo, muddy sound, and it simple just being The Doors. Keys upgrade to come very soon!
FINAL SONG COUNT: 410
Thank you all again and have a Happy New Year!
