Well, it’s the day after Christmas (or Boxing Day, here in Canada) and while I hope you had a great one, the festivities don’t stop yet! Because I’ve got a few goodies for your New Year’s Eve Party! A 3-pack from the legendary Swedish Pop group, ABBA!
This is a special release for me because my grandmother passed away 1 year ago today. One of her very favourite artists was ABBA, so this pack is a tribute to her memory, as I know she would have been dancing to these songs for sure! I hope you like the songs I’ve picked out this time around, and I think I’ve got some tracks that everyone will like. Rock Band always needs more ABBA, right?!

ABBA – “Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight)” Authored by drummerockband
When I think of ABBA songs that are still missing from Rock Band, this one was the first one that came to mind. The iconic strings/keys riff is enough to get people into the groove of the song. In fact, the riff was so good, that Madonna wanted it for her song, so she sampled it for her song “Hung Up”.

ABBA – “SOS” Authored by drummerockband
Here’s a rockin’ ABBA song that I thought always needed to have the full band treatment. Each instrument is super fun to play and harmonies are awesome all around.

ABBA – “Knowing Me, Knowing You” Authored by drummerockband
When I think of ABBA, this song always comes to mind. The chorus is infectious and super catchy. The harmonies again here are really quite a blast. The rest of the song is never a dull moment as well.
This isn’t the last you’ll see of me for Chart-a-Thon either! I have one more release after this one, so keep an eye out!
I hope you enjoy, and as always, don’t forget to donate at chartathon.com if you are liking the content so far!

an excellent tribute, drummerockband! I’m sure your grandmother would be proud. I’m grabbing ’em all as part of my plot to get my mom to play… she’s always content to sit on the couch and sing along, but won’t go near a mic. we’ll see if that changes the next time she visits!

Finally some more ABBA. Rock Band always needs more ABBA. Excited to see what Emotional Flight will release, I know he does Broadway Tracks, and I”m a sucker for those!

More ABBA is definitely a great thing! My kids and I will have a lot of fun with this, especially SOS (probably my favorite ABBA tune!). Thank you, drummerrockband. I’m sure your grandma would be happy and proud of your work!

            Waitress Pack

Waitress is a fantastic musical that was unfortunately overshadowed by its presence in a stellar year for Broadway. I first listened through the album earlier this year, and it’s absolutely gut punching.

            What’s Inside

            GRlJ7sw.jpg

A short opening with some great harmonies.

            Opening Up

            wirL4yS.jpg

The big opening number, and great with some friends.

            Pomatter Pie

            WlZLhAo.jpg

A short instrumental piece, which is something rather strange for Broadway albums. A fast keys section in the middle makes up most of the difficulty.

            You Will Still Be Mine

            vytRCXW.jpg

This song digs into a creepy vibe that I appreciate, with an interesting guitar part.

            Bad Idea

            FOT5bQq.jpg

Definitely the highlight, with every instrument being consistently difficult, and a sublime harmony section over the bridge.

            She Used To Be Mine

            BUiolKK.jpg

The only song with solo vocals, and it’s all the better for it. I personally like the keys part as well, even if its not a challenge.

This song was released as part of “Chart-a-Thon”, a non-profit charity event arranged for a good cause, gathering authors from various rhythm games such as Clone Hero, Beat Saber, Audica, and of course Rock Band. It is encouraged that if you download this song, you should consider donating at least 90¢ to http://chartathon.com. Don’t worry; all proceeds raised from this event go directly to the American Cancer Society. Happy rhythm gaming!

Wow actual customs for The Beatles Rock band – awesome !!

Is there a trick to get these to show up in game ?

I used 360 content manager to upload them in both con and live formats and i dont see the songs anywhere.

              #508735

You need a modded console to play customs in The Beatles Rock Band

The melody of love is not played from a page, it’s played from the heart. Today’s song is “Fushigi na Prism”, the ending song from Wagamama High Spec OC for the character Ashe. This song was sung by Megu Sakuragawa, who you may know as Ako Udagawa, the drummer of Roselia from the BanG Dream! Series; or Tsubasa Kira from the Love Live! Series. As the character Ashe is a pianist and composer, the piano is front and center in this song! However, that doesn’t mean the rest of the parts are a walk in the park!

EDIT: There was a Expert Pro Keys error that snuck in, the files have been updated to fix this.

These are a little different to your standard RB3 custom, as unfortunately they currently need a modified system to play such as an RGH/JTAG Xbox 360 or CFW PS3.

Congrats to all involved, customs for TBRB is quite an achievement! <img decoding=” src=”/wp-content/uploads/invision_emoticons/default_SA_smile.gif” />

Will we get instructions on how to make it work? We got it that we need a modded console, but then what? We PS3 users already need HFW/CFW for RB3 customs anyway, but I guess more steps are needed than just copying files to the right folder.

On a tangent… has anyone actually tested these 2 songs on PS3? Both Help! and Yesterday had the loop ending problem for us (I posted a fixed MIDI for Help! in the relevant thread) but I suppose these 2 have been completely rebuilt for TBRB so the issue is gone.

And last, by curiosity, do these new TBRB customs work ONLY in TBRB or would they work also in RB3?

For PS3 setup, make sure you are on the discord server. There is something specific you need that we can not provide on this site.

The charts have been playtested on PS3 by me. The charts are completely reworked from the ground up.

These customs work only on TBRB, although there will be RB3 converts made, just not yet. Those will be hosted exclusively on the discord server, as in the case of Help!, having the song on the database will be breaking C3 rules.

                          GENTLEMEN START YOUR ENGINES

Let’s Go Away is often regarded as the title track to the cult game that is Daytona USA. A groundbreaking achievement in the video game industry as it proposes a replica of the Daytona speedway thanks to satellite imagery and constant 60 frames per second, something very common these days but completely revolutionary in 1994! The track (the song not the race track) itself is quite challenging, and will always provide something to ruin your FC. You might also notice it’s 7 minutes long, as it is in the game files, because of TIME EXTENSION!

SOCIAL JUSTICE 1 2 3 WOO WOO I WANNA BE PC WOO WOO! Now you get to play the one classic by the Talking Heads drummer and strong and beautiful woman bassist too! The song is very chill and is mostly challenging on guitar because of that funky strumming. For additional fun, I recommend you take advantage of the break to do the unthinkable, the one and only ant dance.

                          QTHm3he.jpg

The Riddle is the other big song by Nik Kershaw. It has his very mysterious and epic vibe, halfway between The Safety Dance and Lord Of The Rings. Props to you if you have any idea what the hell he’s singing about.

All of the above authored by yours truly.
